(12:76) Above every knower stands one who knows even more. And naturally, above them all stands Allah, the Mighty and Sublime. The knowledge of Allah, the Most High, is infinite. Today, man claims: "We have achieved something." They imagine they possess the greatest knowledge of this time – indeed, of all history. But that is a mistake. Knowledge is limitless. The knowledge they have attained is not even a dot. Compared to the knowledge of Allah, it is nothing at all. Be it artificial intelligence or whatever... They have even given machines intelligence. People marvel at it and say: "How is that possible? How magnificent!" Yet, it is insignificant. Next to the knowledge of Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, it is less than a speck of dust. If it were even just a speck of dust, that would already be a lot. But measured against Allah's knowledge, everything they produce is not even a dot. The greatness of Allah knows no limits. People believe they have accomplished something great with their earthly inventions. They consider it important. But in truth, it has no value whatsoever. One cannot draw a comparison with Allah anyway. It is impossible to say: "Allah is so much greater and we are so much smaller." Such a comparison does not exist. For His existence is the only true existence. Our existence is nil; it is actually non-existent. The only One who truly exists is Allah, the Mighty and Sublime. One must bow to His greatness and power. One must submit humbly. It is said "Aslim Taslam": "Submit, so that you may find safety." Otherwise, it is pointless for man to boast arrogantly: "I am a great scholar, I have knowledge, we are so advanced." All of that is of use only if one submits to the knowledge, power, and greatness of Allah. Otherwise, all of that is worth nothing. One should not let oneself be blinded by these worldly sciences. True knowledge means recognizing Allah. If one does not know Him, all other things are meaningless. Whoever attains the grace of Allah in their final breath has triumphed. But these so-called super-intelligent people, these scholars... In the end, they often have neither intellect nor anything else left; may Allah protect us. What has this intelligence availed them? Nothing. What truly brings benefit is submission to Allah's greatness and entering Islam, inshaAllah. May Allah grant people this beauty, inshaAllah.

(36:62) Allah tells us in this verse that Satan has led people onto the wrong path. "Dalalah" means going astray and bad deeds. Satan commands evil and points the way to it. With ruses and all kinds of games, he deceives people and leads them astray from the right path. And they consider the path they take to be the right one. They even force others to do the same. Although their actions are evil, they consider them to be something good. What is this all about? This is Satan's deception and his betrayal of mankind. He leads them astray while they believe they are doing something significant. Yet, an evil end awaits those who walk this path: a bad life, a bad death, and a bad Hereafter. Of course, this misguidance—Dalalet—also has various levels. Some have gone completely astray; they are Kafir (disbelievers). A Kafir is one who does not believe in Allah and does not acknowledge Him. Or those outside the "People of the Book" who worship idols or other beings; they too count as disbelievers. Then, among the "People of the Book," there are those who do not follow the path of the true prophets. Satan has deceived them as well by whispering to them: "You are on the right path," and enticing them into all sorts of deeds. And then there are those who are indeed Muslims and have not left the religion, but spread Fitna, discord, among the Muslims. These are people who kill, massacre, or torture Muslims. These people also claim: "We are Muslims," yet they cause harm to Muslims. They, too, are on the wrong path. Punishment awaits them, too, in the Hereafter. All their actions are preserved and recorded with Allah. Nothing remains hidden; in the Hereafter, they too will have to pay for their deeds. Allah has given humans intellect and reason so that they do not fall for Satan's tricks. If you allow yourselves to be deceived, you will certainly receive your punishment. The path is clear; the path of Allah is distinct. There are two paths: The path of Satan or the path of Allah. People must choose the path of Allah, for He has given them intellect. Some Muslims who are in this error even misinterpret the concept of "intellect." What is the foundation of faith? They say: "The Quran and the intellect." The Quran is correct; but what "intellect" means here is the standards that our Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) demonstrated and explained. The Quran alone is not enough... The Quran is there, but the true intellect is the Sunnah, the intellect of our Prophet. It is not our own intellect. Our intellect is not sufficient for that. If everyone acts only according to their own mind, utter chaos ensues. The word "Adalla" mentioned in the verse comes from Dalalah; this means Satan has led them astray. And although they have been deceived, they pose as scholars. Satan plays with them like a toy. May Allah protect us from the evil of Satan and from treading this path of error. May He not let us stray from the right path, inshaAllah.

(18:29) Allah, the Almighty and Exalted, commands us to speak the truth. He says: "Whoever wills, let him believe; and whoever wills, let him disbelieve." This is a wisdom of Allah, the Almighty and Exalted, for mankind. His wisdom must not be questioned. Our knowledge cannot be compared with His. The limits of our knowledge are known, but we cannot reach the knowledge of Allah. Even our Prophet—peace and blessings be upon him—who holds the highest rank: It is impossible for us to attain his wisdom and his knowledge. Therefore, Allah, the Almighty and Exalted, spoke to our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Proclaim this; speak the truth." "Whoever wishes to believe, let him believe; whoever does not wish to, decides for himself." But the reckoning for those who do not believe will be severe. Faith is a great blessing; as we always say, it is a great honor. It is a gain—indeed, the greatest gain of all. For in this world, one wins or loses; one scrapes by somehow. Until one dies... But once one has died, there is no turning back. A return is impossible. As soon as the soul has left the body, its place is different, and that of the body is different. The two are no longer united. And when that happens, nothing is of any use anymore. Therefore, you should speak the truth, but force no one. Whoever wills, let him believe. To use compulsion is not your right anyway. We live in a time when faith is very weak. So do not say, "I must force this or that," but simply speak the truth. Whoever speaks the truth need not fear anyone. This is the word of truth. Since there is no compulsion, I say: Whoever accepts it, accepts it; whoever does not, decides for himself. Faith cannot be forced with violence or beatings; that does not work. That would only harm you. That is why this word of Allah, the Almighty and Exalted, is so wonderful; that is the right way. Speak the truth: Whoever wishes, let him accept it; whoever does not wish to, let him leave it. Whether you say "I believe" or "I do not believe": If you believe, you win. If you do not believe, it will be a tremendous loss for you. A loss that cannot be repaired. When one takes their last breath and departs without faith—may Allah protect us—there is no longer any salvation. In this world, turning back is still possible; you can repent and ask for forgiveness, and Allah forgives. But once the last breath has escaped, it is too late. Therefore, one must stand by the truth, speak it, and accept it, insha'Allah. May Allah include us among those who accept the truth.

(33:23) Allah, the Mighty and Exalted, says: "These are people who have kept their promise to Allah and have not deviated from their word." Allah describes them as "Men" (Rijal). Being a "man" does not just mean being male; if a woman possesses this quality, she also reaches the rank of manhood. But whoever considers himself a man yet does not keep his word is neither man nor woman; that is how one must understand it. This is not about the distinction between man and woman; Allah praises, as a quality, those who keep their word. What does He say? Those who are on Allah's path and remain steadfast are valuable people; they are the winners. They are those who do not deviate from their word and are accepted by Allah. When their time has come, they die on this path. As long as they live, they continue on the same path, faithful to their given word. Exactly with this quality... A brother of German origin, who was honored with Islam during the time of Mawlana Sheikh Nazim—may Allah have mercy on him—passed away yesterday. He became Muslim over forty years ago in the presence of Mawlana Sheikh Nazim. He was a philosophy professor. Philosophy is something built upon doubt and skepticism. Nevertheless, through the miracle of Mawlana Sheikh Nazim, thanks be to Allah, he became Muslim. For over forty years, he served both himself and the people around him on this path. Many people found guidance through him. Not only non-Muslims... Sometimes Muslims can also stray from the path. He brought them back to this true path as well. Finally, he departed from this world as a beloved servant of Allah. That is what counts: For what were we created in this world and what have we done? Allah tells you why you were created; but you run around like a headless chicken and do not understand it. People who understand know: When one finds the truth, one must hold fast to the truth. With this truth you will pass over into the other world, and with this truth, by Allah's leave, you will step before the Truth, Allah. May Allah make us all steadfast on this path. There are some who fall away from the path. While they run from here to there saying, "I like this, I don't like that," they suddenly see that they have departed from this world without having found anything. May Allah not count us among them and make us steadfast. Until we find our Lord; until we meet our Prophet and our Sheikhs there, may He make us all steadfast, inshaAllah.

Our Prophet (Allah's blessings and peace be upon him) says: Whoever seeks the pleasure of people and thereby violates Allah's commands has lost. That means: If you speak untruths just so that people like you or because that is what they want, you gain nothing at all. It is of absolutely no use to you. For human beings are by nature ungrateful. You might be pleased and think you have done good. But even when you do good: People often forget it. At the slightest little thing, they turn against you. Therefore, Allah's pleasure must stand above that of people. To follow Him in what He wants, loves, and commands – that is the true gain for you. But if you act only so that people like you, or so that this person or that person loves you, they will turn you into a trained monkey. You jump here and there to entertain them, hopping around, but it brings you nothing. Therefore, your main goal should be Allah's pleasure. That is what counts in this life and brings true gain. Only then do you have value. Otherwise, you become something worthless, superfluous – merely an ordinary human, just another creature. If you try to please everyone, you lose your value. You have forfeited your own value. True value consists in being valuable in the sight of Allah. That is what matters. Such a person will also be valuable to others. Even if he is poor and needy: Whoever is on Allah's path is valuable. May Allah make us all such people, in sha Allah. Let us not become the plaything of others, in sha Allah.

We have finished the first book, insha'Allah. And we have started with the second book. Let us, Allah willing, read the beautiful words and Hadiths of our Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) again. Our Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) says: "If you pay the Zakat on your wealth, you have fulfilled your duty and settled the right of the wealth." This wealth is only entrusted to you (Amanah). One must live up to this responsibility. That which is entrusted must not be misappropriated. Zakat is an obligation (Fard). It belongs to the pillars of Islam. So when you have calculated and given it, no responsibility rests on you anymore. Its reward and its blessing remain with you. Our Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) says again: "If you fulfill your duty by giving Zakat on your wealth, you have averted its evil from yourself." However, if you do not pay, this wealth becomes an evil for you. It brings no profit; the unpaid Zakat remains within you as evil. That this evil weighs on one is not good. To remove the evil, one must purify the wealth; you must give the Zakat. Thus you free yourself from evil and at the same time attain Allah's reward and pleasure. Our Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) says: "Verily, charity (Sadaqa) only increases wealth." That means: Do not fear that wealth will decrease through donating; on the contrary, it increases. Our Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) says: "Verily, Allah the Exalted has made Zakat obligatory only to purify the rest of your wealth with it." This means: When you give Zakat, your goods are purified and that wealth becomes absolutely pure and Halal. When you eat and drink, you are consuming Halal. The sustenance of your children and your family is then Halal. If you do not do this, it penetrates the human being as evil. It would be as if you had given your children and your family poison to eat. Therefore, Zakat serves to purify wealth. Furthermore, he says: Do not fear that your wealth will decrease when you give Zakat. He has also designated your goods as inheritance so that they remain for the survivors after your death. Inheritance is also a right. Death is certain, inheritance is Halal. The wealth on which Zakat has been paid also becomes a blessed sustenance (Rizq) for the survivors. "Shall I name for you the most precious treasure a person can accumulate?" What is the most beautiful thing a person can possess? It is the righteous woman. Meaning, a righteous wife. Our Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) says about this: "When he looks at her, she pleases him; when he orders her to do something, she obeys him; and when he is absent, she guards his honor." Our Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) says: "Establish the prayer properly." That means: Perform your prayer completely, on time, and in the right place. "Give the Zakat." This is also Allah's command, says our Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). "Fast in Ramadan." "Perform the Hajj and the Umrah." Whoever is able to do so should perform Hajj and Umrah. "Be kind to your parents." That means, treat your mother and your father well (Ihsan). "Maintain the ties of kinship." "Host the guests." "Enjoin the good and forbid the evil." Our Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) says: "Follow the truth wherever it turns." These counsels and commands are wonderful. A believer and Muslim must strive for them and obey them. Our Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "In wealth, there are indeed rights other than Zakat." That means, even after paying Zakat, other rights must be settled. Our Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) says: "In wealth, there is no right that must be settled other than Zakat." This means: If you have paid your Zakat, have not stolen anyone's wealth, and it rightfully belongs to you, then the duty is fulfilled. When the Zakat is paid, the wealth is pure and lawful for you – as pure as mother's milk. Our Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) says: The pillars of Islam are the following: That you testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is the Messenger of Allah. This is the first condition. Secondly, that you establish the prayer. That you give the Zakat. That you fast in Ramadan. And if you have the ability to do so, that you visit the House (the Kaaba) and perform the Hajj. These are the pillars of Islam, the things that our Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) commanded. All these are jewels, they are true treasures. Treasures for the Hereafter. May Allah grant all this to the people, insha'Allah. The Messenger of Allah has spoken the truth in what he said, or as he said it.

(6:88) Allah, the Almighty and Exalted, says: Allah guides whom He wills. He grants guidance to whom He wishes. This favor is not granted to everyone. Whoever attains this has achieved a tremendous gain, an eternal gain. But if others deny Allah or associate partners with Him, all their deeds are in vain. Even if the whole world belonged to them, even if they held everything in their hands: The possession of this world is of no use in the Hereafter. One arrives there only through faith. Those without faith will suffer the punishment for it. Therefore, this guidance is pure grace and generosity from Allah, the Mighty and Exalted. Thanks be to Allah, those who are a means for this guidance also receive this reward. Mawlana Sheikh Nazim became the means for the guidance of so many people. All their descendants, too, have attained this fortune through the mediation of Mawlana Sheikh Nazim. And the reward for this reaches him uninterruptedly. Thanks be to Allah, we are on his path. His path is the truthful path of our Prophet. It is a beautiful path that is trodden entirely without deviation. For there are many who try to distort this path; be it knowingly or unknowingly. Yet this is the true path, the pure path. The Tariqa on which Mawlana Sheikh Nazim guided us, the Naqshbandi Tariqa, continues to exist exactly as it was transmitted by our Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), thanks be to Allah. And it will last forever. May Allah bless it. May He make those who tread this path steadfast. May He protect them from severe trials, inshaAllah.

Our Prophet – Allah's peace and blessings be upon him – says: "Laysa ba'da al-kufri dhanb." "After disbelief, there is no (greater) sin." That means: To be a Kafir is the greatest of all sins. It is the gravest sin; there is none that would be greater. One cannot charge a disbeliever with further sins by saying: "You drank alcohol, committed Zina, or ate pork." For the most tremendous of all sins has already been committed. The nature of disbelief is such: As soon as disbelief ends, the other sins no longer subsist. For this reason, those who accept Islam are like newborn babies – no matter what they have done in the past. Allah has then forgiven them everything. Their life begins anew from this hour and proceeds henceforth on the path of Allah. We see it in worldly life: Someone has done this, killed that person, beaten this one... A disbeliever may do these things, but they are not accounted for individually. He has already fallen into disbelief. He can do what he wants – with Allah, his denial is the greatest crime. If he is then blessed with Islam, our Prophet – Allah's peace and blessings be upon him – says: "Al-Islam yajubbu ma qablahu." That means: "Islam wipes away and forgives everything that came before it." Of course, today's order, meaning the worldly laws of men, demands a judgment on these deeds. But as soon as this person returns to Islam before Allah, everything is erased; they are like newborn. Therefore, Allah's judgment is the measure of all things; that is the truth. The judgment of people has no value; it only brings problems with it. But as long as one lives in this world, one must inevitably submit to the existing order. One cannot judge on one's own authority, for the absolute judgment rests with Allah. The judgment of Allah is one thing; the judgment of the world is another. After someone has accepted Islam, he receives with Allah the reward of a newborn. An example of this occurred during the time of our Prophet – Allah's peace and blessings be upon him – during the Battle of Khaybar. There was a shepherd. This shepherd accepted Islam, and before he could perform a single prayer, he fell as a martyr and attained the Shahada. Our Prophet – Allah's peace and blessings be upon him – smiled and announced the glad tidings that this person attained Paradise without having performed even a single prayer. Such are the divine judgments. Therefore, Islam is a salvation for the people, a bliss; thanks be to Allah! Those who are permitted to accept it have attained Allah's blessing and mercy. May Allah make us steadfast on this way and not let us stray from His path, insha'Allah.

Our Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) says: "Always do good." "If you make a mistake, repent for it." Do good, perform righteous deeds. Be it through material or spiritual aid, or through repentance and asking for forgiveness... Then Allah wipes out this sin. Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, is infinitely merciful. He accepts the repentance of the one who repents. Some might say: "We have done this and that; we have committed many sins." But the glorious Quran and the Hadiths proclaim it. Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, and our Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "If you have sinned, follow it with a good deed, so that Allah forgives and wipes out the sin." He says "Yamhuha," which means: "He wipes it out." It means it is completely erased. For the angels write everything down. They record both good and bad deeds. But they do not write down the sin immediately. They record the good deed immediately, but with the sin, they wait: "Perhaps he will repent shortly." If he ultimately does not repent, it is said: "Go ahead, write it down." They write it down... But if the person later repents for this sin, Allah forgives this too. So the sin is not recorded at the moment it is committed. That is why our Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) says: "He wipes it out." And when it is wiped out, no sin remains—thanks be to Allah. For sin is the greatest evil for a human being. To go into the Hereafter with this burden is a severe misfortune. When Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, has given so many opportunities for you to have your sins forgiven and emerge pure... But if you say: "No, I persist in this sin," then you will suffer your punishment. May Allah protect us from that. May He accept our repentance. May Allah forgive us our deeds, Insha'Allah.

(15:9) Allah, the Mighty and Exalted, speaks: “We have sent down the glorious Quran and We preserve it.” It stands under protection – unchanged and uncorrupted. For the other heavenly books that have been sent down since Adam – the known Torah, the Gospel, the Psalms, and all scriptures before the Quran – were corrupted and altered. Therefore, the glorious Quran has remained as it was revealed; for Allah has said: “We have preserved it.” The last Prophet is our Prophet, Allah's blessings and peace be upon him. Just as Allah protects His religion, Islam, He said about the Quran: “We have preserved it,” so that it does not change; no one has been able to change it. The glorious Quran has reached our time through the blessed tongue of our Prophet, Allah's blessings and peace be upon him. But before the Last Day dawns, it too will be taken away from the earth. This is one of the major signs of the Final Judgment. There will be neither Muslims nor Huffaz left on the earth. If you open the Holy Quran, you will see that the script has been erased; nothing will be visible anymore. This means that until that time, it will remain preserved. Before this time, there will certainly be no change. But through the wisdom of Allah, the Mighty and Exalted, when the Last Day approaches, the Quran will be lifted from the earth as one of the major signs. At that time, there will be no Muslims left anyway, only disbelievers; upon them Allah will let the Last Day break. This glorious Quran is the word of Allah, the Mighty and Exalted. He does what He wills; and it is He who preserves it. The Quran came via the tongue of our Prophet, Allah's blessings and peace be upon him. Our Prophet, Allah's blessings and peace be upon him, did not have the noble Hadiths written down in his time, so that no confusion would arise. So that Hadith and Quran would not mix with each other. Thus the Quran was preserved by Allah's decree. But after our Prophet, Allah's blessings and peace be upon him, the Companions began to write down and transmit the narrated Hadiths. How the glorious Quran and Islam should be lived was explained to us through the noble Hadiths. These Hadiths have reached us to this day. Whoever accepts this is a true Muslim. But whoever raises objections against the Hadiths is either a hypocrite or not a Muslim. For whoever shows no respect to our Prophet is either a hypocrite or at least possesses no faith. Even if he outwardly appears like a Muslim, in truth he is someone without faith. One must pay great attention to this. Those who follow the path of our Prophet must know: This path consists of Hadith and Quran. Our Prophet, Allah's blessings and peace be upon him, personally said: “I have left you two things: the Quran and my Sunnah.” One must follow this path. The Ahl al-Bayt and all Companions are included in these Hadiths and the Sunnah. Some appeal only to the “Ahl al-Bayt”. But in the Hadiths of our Prophet, Allah's blessings and peace be upon him, there are already many statements saying: “Show them respect, watch over them.” But the foundation is formed by the Quran and Sunnah. And what we call Sunnah are the deeds and words of our Prophet – that is, the Hadiths. In the End Times, there is much Fitna; there are many who cause confusion. People appear who claim: “No, this is right, that is wrong; no, it was like this, no, it was like that.” But these Hadiths were compiled by the great scholars of that time. There is no doubt about their sincerity and reliability. Hadith scholars like Bukhari, Muslim, Tirmidhi, and Ibn Majah performed this work back then. All subsequent Hadith sciences are built upon them anyway. One must show them respect. There is not the slightest doubt about their faith and their trustworthiness. May Allah be pleased with them. May Allah grant us all to remain on His path.
