Mawlana Sheikh Mehmed Adil. Translations.

It will be blessed with barakah. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said this. Alhamdulillah, whether you understand or not, barakah will come. May Allah grant us good understanding. Alhamdulillah, we are happy with this. Again, Alhamdulillah, this is Allah's gift. A believer must always surrender to Allah's Will. Whether He takes from us or gives to us, we must accept and be thankful to Him because everything is His Will. So a believer should be happy because Allah made him a believer. This is the greatest favor. Everything else is secondary. When you have something good like this - to be a believer on the straight path throughout life - this is the greatest blessing. So we must be most thankful to Allah for this day. Alhamdulillah, we see you again. And it brings us happiness. This happiness comes from Allah, the Exalted, when believers meet other believers. Allah is pleased and rewards for each step taken, forgives for each step, and raises one's rank with each step. You feel this happiness when you are with friends or believers for Allah's sake. Alhamdulillah, all these good intentions come from Allah, the Exalted. For one who is happy on this precious path of Allah, when your intention is good, Allah rewards you for every minute and every second. May Allah bless you and be pleased with us together with you. May Allah make us happy and be pleased with us.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said in a hadith that when people gather to seek knowledge of Allah, Allah blesses them, showers them with His mercy, is pleased with them, and mentions them in the heavens. This is why we are happy in this gathering. We are gathering here solely for Allah's sake, to learn and receive His blessings. Allah never turns away anyone who comes to His door. We are under the watchful gaze of Allah, the Exalted, the Prophet (peace be upon him), and the Awliyaullah. They are pleased with this gathering where we mention Allah's name and ask Him for all good things. Alhamdulillah, being a seeker of knowledge is a great thing for a believer, as it is a command from Allah, the Exalted, that everyone must learn. Allah has given some people the capacity to learn a little. Some learn more, and others even more. According to one's capacity, each person must seek knowledge of Allah, the Exalted. This is important in Islam because the first command to the Prophet (peace be upon him) was "Iqra" - read. From the early days of Islam, madrassas were established, especially in Basra and Baghdad, and other cities too. But these were the most famous ones. They had a love for knowledge. SubhanAllah, Allah gave these people an extraordinary love for learning and helping others. Because these were the early days of Islam, we had to preserve everything the Prophet (peace be upon him) taught us. It was very special to be a student of knowledge in those days. In these madrassas, students coming from near and far had a place to stay. A student would study at the madrassa for one to seven years, and then become a scholar. They would then teach new students, and from there, all kinds of knowledge grew - not just religious knowledge, but also medicine, herbs, and many other subjects. Allah has created everything with wisdom. These days, you rarely find people who work hard studying, truly learning and understanding, not just reading and writing. One of these scholars was Imam Tirmidhi, a great muhaddith who collected and compiled the Prophet's teachings into books for Muslims to learn from. Tirmidh is in Central Asia. He was a shepherd there who had a great love for learning the Prophet's teachings. He was just a boy, perhaps 10 or 11 or 12 years old. He had two friends who also loved learning. They came together one day and after discussion decided they must leave everything behind and go to the madrassa to learn. They prepared their things to leave the city. When he went home to prepare, his mother asked where he was going. He said, "Oh mother, I am going to the madrassa with my friends to learn religion and knowledge." She said, "I am ill, and no one looks after me except you." "How can you leave me and go?" she asked her young son. When he told her he was going to study in another city, she said, "How can you leave me here? I am ill, and no one cares for me except you." "How can you leave me and go?" He said, "Alright, I won't go. I will stay and look after you." And his two friends went off to study. He was sad and would cry in secret where no one could see him. He cried because he couldn't go with them. While he was crying one day, a distinguished older man approached him. He asked, "Why are you crying?" The boy replied, "I want to go study, but I can't leave my ill mother." "So for her sake, I've given up studying and stay here with the sheep." The man told him, "I know some things I can teach you." "If you like, I can come every day for 3-4 hours to teach you, as much as you can learn." "If you'd like, I can do this." The boy was overjoyed. He said, "I will learn from you." So every day, he learned from this man. After three years, he completed his studies. And then he realized that his teacher had been Khidr (peace be upon him). Because he respected his mother and loved knowledge, he became one of the greatest scholars in Islam. His book of hadith has been studied for over a thousand years. Until the Day of Judgment, billions of people will gain knowledge from him. He also followed the path of tasawwuf, which is the heart of Islam. With his knowledge, he understood he needed to follow this path, and so he did.

Alhamdulillah for everything. Allah ﷻ has blessed us with this meeting, this blessed gathering. This is truly a barakah. Alhamdulillah, you are accustomed to these gatherings, these meetings. You may not realize how different it is in other places. To be content with gathering for Allah ﷻ is a great blessing from Him. This is a gift from Allah ﷻ to you. Indeed, Allah is capable of all things. Alhamdulillah, the whole country is progressing more and more in this way - the way of love for Allah ﷻ, love for the Prophet ﷺ, and love for the Awliya Allah. The Awliya Allah are constantly praying for the ummah to remain on the path of Allah ﷻ and the way of Prophet ﷺ. Alhamdulillah, this love and belief are essential for every believing man and woman. Allah ﷻ has appointed certain Awliya Allah to be a source of blessing for the earth and humanity. There was a great Wali of Allah who was once sitting in his gathering. His name was Sheikh Abdus Salam, also known as Shah A'la. He was from India, as you know. During his majlis, one of his companions, who was sitting nearby, was speaking with another person. This person claimed, "There are no Awliya Allah in our time." Sheikh Abdus Salam overheard this and asked, "What did you say?" The man replied, "Nothing." "Don't be afraid," the Sheikh said, "repeat what you said." The man admitted, "I said there are no Awliya Allah in this time." Sheikh Abdus Salam responded, "I cannot agree with this statement, for nothing can exist without the Awliya Allah." "They are the intermediaries appointed by Allah Azza wa Jalla." "They have been assigned specific duties." "Rain, water, all blessings flow through them." "Without them, you cannot receive these blessings." "They exist in every era," he explained. The man tried to clarify, "I meant perhaps there are no Awliya Allah like those of the past." He was saying this to a Sheikh who was himself among the greatest Awliya, nearly at the rank of Qutub. Upon hearing this, the Sheikh merely looked at him, and the murid fell to the ground, crawling on the earth. The people then took him to his house and left him there to rest. He returned at Fajr time, repenting and seeking forgiveness from the Sheikh. The Sheikh said, "Don't worry, but never speak or even think negatively about the Awliya Allah." For the Awliya Allah are beloved to Allah ﷻ. There is a Hadith Qudsi that states: مَنْ عَادَى لِي وَلِيًّا فَقَدْ آذَنْتُهُ بِالْحَرْبِ The mission of the Awliya Allah is a great responsibility. They watch over the Ummah, especially in these times. Alhamdulillah, here people follow the teachings of Prophet ﷺ and Islam, but in other places, conditions are incredibly difficult. Therefore, for those who follow a tariqa, protecting your belief is paramount. Shaytan works through people, telling them, "Tariqa, Shariah, and Madhhab are unnecessary. Don't follow these." But tariqa keeps you safe from Shaytan and strengthens your faith. This is why we advise everyone to follow a tariqa - any of the 41 tariqas that connect back to Prophet ﷺ. May Allah keep all of you on His path and make you among the Awliya Allah, insha'Allah. Remember, being a Wali Allah isn't just about performing miracles, but about being beloved to Allah. Allah loves the believers, muminin, those who do good, muhsinin, and those who are God-conscious, muttaqin. A Wali Allah is simply one whom Allah loves. Following a tariqa isn't difficult - we don't ask people to do what they cannot manage. Continue with your normal Muslim duties: pray, fast, and follow the path as much as you can. Do what is within your capacity. I think people are getting tired now. Thank you all. I am very happy to be in this gathering among good people. This is our third visit here, and I am very pleased, insha'Allah. May Allah bless you and protect you from all harm, insha'Allah. May Allah keep you on the straight path and strengthen your faith, along with your families and your country, insha'Allah. Insha'Allah, may Allah grant us many more meetings together, and may we remain together forever.

وَقَلِيلٞ مِّنۡ عِبَادِيَ ٱلشَّكُورُ (34:13) Allah Azza wa Jalla says: "Very few among My servants are truly thankful." This is what Allah states in the Holy Quran. Allah Azza wa Jalla loves those who are thankful to Him. There might be a hadith or a saying that goes: "One who is not thankful to people cannot be thankful to Allah." These special people are not numerous. They are a minority in this world among humankind. Those who are beloved to Allah are the minority, not the majority. We thank you and thank Allah Azza wa Jalla for allowing us to meet here with people who are sincere and thankful to Allah Azza wa Jalla. Everywhere else, people are complaining, unhappy, and not thankful to Allah Azza wa Jalla. Even though they have everything, they remain ungrateful to Allah Azza wa Jalla. But here, Alhamdulillah, people are thankful to Allah Azza wa Jalla, and He blesses them. We were with Mawlana Sheikh Nazim (q.s.) in 2001, traveling by train through paddy fields. Mawlana Sheikh Nazim (q.s.) was observing the people working in the fields. He said to me, "Look at these people. Though they are poor and have only a handful of rice, they are thankful to Allah for what they have, and they are content." Mawlana Sheikh was pleased with these people and prayed for them. Because they had food to eat, they were thankful for what Allah gave them, and they earned their sustenance through their own work. And they are believers - this is the most precious gift Allah gives to humankind: to be Muslim and to believe in Allah and His Prophet (peace be upon him). When Allah Azza wa Jalla creates a person, He has already decreed how many days they will live, how much they will eat, and how much they will drink. All of this is counted, and when it's finished, life ends - even a millionaire can't take anything with them. So the greatest gift Allah gives is to be a believer, to be Muslim, to be Mumin. This is what Tariqa teaches people. To be content with what Allah has given them. We are happy and thankful to Allah for what He has given us, for creating us as humans and making us believers. Through Allah's barakah, even a small thing is sufficient for anyone. Without barakah, even the wealthiest people derive no benefit from their wealth. For this reason, we thank Allah Azza wa Jalla for blessing this entire country. They should be very thankful because this place has been a source of Islamic light for centuries. The people who live here receive barakah from their ancestors. They teach the beauty of Islam throughout this country. They spread the light and mercy of Islam throughout this region. From here to thousands of kilometers around, people come through this point. This is why I say Alhamdulillah - here, people are sincere Muslims without any ill intentions. Unlike those who claim to be Muslim while destroying Islam. Alhamdulillah, they are all good here. Alhamdulillah, due to this sincerity, you have many Awliyaullah. Not only those in graves, but living Awliyaullah are here as well. Alhamdulillah, these are good tidings for you. When Mawlana Sheikh first went to meet his Sheikh in Istanbul, he was young, perhaps 20 years old. At that time, Muslims were forbidden to practice openly. No Sheikh, no Tariqa - everything was forbidden in Turkey. He had to visit his Sheikh in secret. Because after the Ottoman Empire, these unbelievers destroyed the Khilafah and banned everything related to Islam. There were no airplanes or boats then, yet for 500 years they came to help here. But when these unbelievers took the Khilafah, they cut off the head of Islam, and all Muslim countries became orphans. So during this time, Mawlana secretly went to meet the Sheikh and entered his Dargah. The first thing he witnessed was the miracle of Sheikh Suleyman Erzurumi. Mawlana recalls that when he entered at age twenty, the Sheikh said, "You must consider everyone as if they might be Khidr (AS)." Khidr (AS) changes form - you never know which form he might take, appearing differently each time. Since Khidr's (AS) prayers are always accepted, people constantly look for him. So the Sheikh said, "Whenever you see someone, consider that they might be Khidr (AS)." The miracle was present that day, but no one recognized that this young man would become the greatest Sheikh in the coming 20 years. They couldn't imagine it, but the Sheikh saw this from their first meeting. And secondly, he said, "You must treat every night as if it were Laylatul Qadr." Because Laylatul Qadr can occur on any night of the year, not only in Ramadan. Though it's most common in Ramadan, it can also occur outside of Ramadan. You must respect and value every minute of your life, especially at night. Even two Rakats at night are more valuable than a hundred Rakats during the day. This teaches people to maintain good intentions and positive thoughts about others. May Allah grant us good thoughts, not bad thoughts about people. And may He protect us from evil and keep bad people away from us. May Allah bring good people together, insha Allah, for all time. Thank you for coming.

We thank Allah, the Almighty, that He has made this meeting possible for us and has granted us this time together. Today is, Allah willing, the last day—for everything has an end. But this end does not apply to the believer; it continues on a spiritual level. Even if we are not physically here, we remain spiritually connected with our souls. Allah, the Almighty, has created mankind, but as for the soul... Only He alone knows about that. No one knows the true nature of the soul. This is one of His secrets that remains hidden from us. When you connect spiritually, you are—thanks to Allah—not only connected with us but also with the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and all the saints who are with you. You must know this. Follow the commandments of Allah. Hold firmly to the way of Allah. Do not abandon it. Then you will be happy. Secure and content. Sometimes there are... Separations because one cannot always be together. One cannot be with other people all the time. But you do not feel this separation when hearts and souls remain connected. This connection leads you to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and to Allah, the Almighty. Allah willing, this was a blessed meeting. May Allah bless you. Be cautious of the turmoil of these times. Do not argue with people who have no understanding and show no respect for the Prophet (peace be upon him). When you hear such people speak, do not stay with them. Wherever you are, keep away from these people, for Allah, the Almighty, does not love such people. Allah loves those who show respect and good manners and who love the Prophet (peace be upon him). Allah mentions the love for the Prophet in the Quran. You should not associate with people who do not accept this. For if you stay with them, more discord and doubt will arise within you. Perhaps you might even follow them; one never knows. If your intention is pure and you keep away from these people out of love for the Prophet, Allah will increase this love and bless you. Do not be sad but rejoice that Allah has guided you to the path of His beloved, Allah willing. May Allah protect us from this discord. These turmoils of the End Times are normal, not abnormal. It is completely normal. Happy is he who does not follow this discord. May Allah grant guidance to all. That is what we ask for. May Allah protect us from Satan and his followers. May Allah grant us a reunion, if He wills. May Allah give us health and prosperity, make us dependent on no one, and grant us all happiness in this world and in the Hereafter, Allah willing.

There is a famous quote by Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi: "Hamdım, piştim, yandım." - "I was raw, I was cooked, and now I am burned." The meaning behind this is: "Initially, I was inexperienced. Then I matured. I am no longer immature, but matured." "I burned" ultimately means that I have been completely purified. This actually describes the life journey of believers. In the beginning, they are inexperienced and naive. They know nothing yet. Over time, they mature. The phase of ignorance ends, and they have learned. Everyone should take this path; one should not remain immature. From youth, they learn step by step and eventually become mature people. For followers of the Tariqa, this process has a deeper meaning. For them, it means taming the ego, freeing oneself from bad qualities, and living purely for the pleasure of Allah. Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi expressed this with these words: "I was raw, I was cooked, and now I am burned." That is, he completely overcame his ego. He became someone who was sincerely pure and solely for Allah. No trace of his ego remained. That is what the Tariqa teaches people. Not to say: "I am this, I am that." The most important thing is to tame the ego while still in this world, before going to the hereafter.

Allah, the Exalted, loves the generous. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said in essence: Allah the Almighty loves a sinful person who is generous more than a servant of God who prays a lot but is stingy. Allah, the Exalted, is generous, and He loves generosity. Generosity is one of the sublime attributes of Allah the Almighty. Whoever wishes to attain the pleasure of Allah, the Exalted, should take His beautiful attributes as a model. However, we must know that there are attributes such as exaltedness that are reserved exclusively for Allah the Almighty. These attributes belong to Him alone. There are also attributes that can never be ascribed to Allah, the Exalted. Such attributes are not even befitting for humans; they are of satanic nature and cannot possibly be ascribed to Allah the Almighty. In contrast, noble attributes such as generosity and mercy are also appropriate for the servants of Allah. We should take these attributes, which are suitable for us, as an example. The special attributes of Allah, the Exalted, remain reserved for Him alone. We must understand this distinction well. For some people mistakenly think that it is right to imitate all the attributes of Allah the Almighty. In this regard, ambiguous expressions should not be used, as is the case in some languages. Take, for example, the word "Creator". The Creator is only Allah, the Exalted. Some say: "Humans can also create something." Yet the attribute Al-Khaliq (the Creator) is reserved for Allah the Almighty alone. There are many such examples, but the most important thing for us is to be generous. May Allah, the Exalted, forgive us our sins, grant us His mercy, and be pleased with us. May Allah the Almighty make us among those whom He loves, insha'Allah.

The Prophet, peace be upon him, said: أدبني ربي فأحسن تأديبي The Prophet, peace be upon him, is the best person to ever exist. Sayyidina Muhammad, the Prophet, peace be upon him, is our role model. He's saying, "Allah taught me the best manners and behavior." Throughout his life, the Prophet, peace be upon him, respected everyone, regardless of age. He was always polite, setting the best example. During the Prophet's time, people weren't generally well-behaved. So he transformed all these people into the best versions of themselves. Of course, we're talking about the Companions, the Sahabas, but this transformation was one of the Prophet's miracles. He changed them from being ignorant and ill-mannered to becoming exemplary individuals who were beneficial to the community, obedient, respectful, and well-behaved. It is narrated that, when our Prophet, peace be upon him, was sitting with his companions, they would be as silent and still as if there were birds on their heads. They would not talk, stir, or make the smallest gesture. They remained completely silent and motionless, focusing solely on the Prophet (peace be upon him), eager to learn from him and follow his instructions. This is how they behaved, and they respected one another. Many Muslims today forget the most crucial aspect: respect, good manners - adab - or the tariqah that teaches proper conduct. May Allah help us develop manners like the Prophet (peace be upon him). We should all strive to be like him. Alhamdulillah, followers of the tariqah behave this way, but some people who claim to be Muslim and teach Islam lack respect and good manners. May Allah teach them proper conduct, insha'Allah. May Allah grant Muslims the understanding to distinguish between right and wrong, insha'Allah.

فَاسۡتَـبۡشِرُوۡا بِبَيۡعِكُمُ الَّذِىۡ بَايَعۡتُمۡ بِهٖ Allah the Exalted gives glad tidings about the pledge of allegiance (Bay'ah). The Bay'ah is very important for the connection of the believers with the Prophet, peace be upon him. Anyone can be a Muslim, but being connected is more important. Thus, the Tariqa is a chain that leads to the Prophet, peace be upon him, and to Allah the Exalted. We promise to be on the path of Allah the Exalted and His Prophet, peace be upon him; Just as Allah the Exalted has commanded. For this, Allah the Exalted gives us glad tidings: ‎بِشَارَة "Bishara" means glad tidings for the believers. Millions, billions of people do not care about attaining the pleasure of Allah the Exalted and being on His path. Nobody. Only very few people seek this path. Being on the path of Allah the Exalted is a grace from Him. Therefore, whoever is on the path of Allah the Exalted is blessed. People are not interested in the path of Allah the Exalted. They chase after worldly things, novelties, and other occupations. They pursue various strange occupations. These things are not important. They will gain no benefit from these occupations. The most important thing is the spiritual connection to the Prophet, peace be upon him. The connection to the Prophet, peace be upon him, is a great grace from Allah the Exalted for you; that is your Nasib, your destiny. What does Nasib mean? Nasib is what Allah the Exalted has decreed for His servants. Praise be to Allah! We are on the path of Allah the Exalted and follow Him to the best of our ability. We try to follow the Prophet, peace be upon him. May Allah the Exalted bless you. May Allah the Exalted protect you, your families, your neighbors, your descendants, your land, and all Muslims on this path.

إِنَّمَآ أَمۡوَٰلُكُمۡ وَأَوۡلَٰدُكُمۡ فِتۡنَةٞۚ (64:15) Allah the Almighty says in the Holy Quran that your children and your wealth are a reason for testing. This test can be both good and bad for you. If you follow the commandments of Allah the Almighty, it will be good for you and not bad. For the gifts that Allah the Almighty gives are intended for your benefit in this life and the hereafter. You must pay attention to everything—without neglecting anything—for the welfare of people, Muslims, and believers. Everything must be sincere for Allah the Almighty. If you do that, don't worry. Allah the Almighty will put everything in order and make it easier for you and your family. Because nowadays families don't know how they should behave. The family should be as Allah the Almighty has prescribed: One should respect the parents, help them, and serve them. But nowadays the parents serve the children. Although the children are grown up, the parents serve and help them. As a result, the children no longer have responsibility and nothing for which they have to be grateful. You have to raise them properly. But today's system makes the children like this: No work for children, don't send them to work. In school and everywhere, you can't tell them anything. You can't say, "Do this, do that." You are only supposed to serve them. You have to take care of them. In the past, a child was mature as a man or woman at fifteen years old. They stood on their own feet. But now there is first elementary school, then middle school, high school, university. Everyone has to complete all that. And what do they learn in the end? They learn nothing at all. Then they complain: "Our children are not good; they don't care about us. They are not satisfied with us." Of course, if you give everything ready-made, what is left to make them happy? This is a state of the End Times. In the past, there was only one school: Whoever could study, studied. For those who couldn't study, there are many other jobs in life. Now a 30-year-old is still like a baby. And that is not good. You should not give everything ready-made. Now they even give unintentionally. When we give, we should wait a bit so that they appreciate the value when they get it. Now we give, and they say: "What is that! That is not a good brand. That is a cheap brand. Why did you buy that?" They even get angry with you. Allah the Almighty has shown us examples from our ancestors. They all taught how to live life. Now there is nothing left. They just give everyone a phone and say: "Here, play with it so that you don't get bored." Let them be bored sometimes. Boredom is also useful, not bad. Now there is not even time for boredom. Maybe you will pray when you are bored, read the Holy Quran or a useful book. But now there are only games and entertainment. This entertainment will not last forever. One cannot live in constant entertainment. Of course, you are happy when you are entertained. But constant entertainment is like an animal that eats only straw every day. May Allah the Almighty protect our children, protect us, and give us guidance so that we become as Allah wants.
