Jumu'ah mubarak, insha'Allah.
We gather here for the sake of Allah, 'Azza wa Jalla.
May Allah bless us all, insha'Allah.
On Jumu'ah, Allah grants all that is good to His Beloved, the most beloved, Sayyidina Muhammad, sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam, and his Ummah, his community.
Of course, every Prophet – and there are seven 'Ulul 'Azm Prophets (Arch-Prophets) – has a blessed day dedicated to him.
Allah has given a day to each of them.
However, He gave the Prophet, sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam, the best day: Jumu'ah.
He created the first human, the forefather of all mankind, Sayyidina Adam, 'alayhis-salam, on a Jumu'ah (Friday), and he also passed away on a Jumu'ah.
Yawm al-Qiyamah (the Day of Resurrection) will also take place on a Jumu'ah. The opening of the earth and the resurrection of all mankind will also happen on a Jumu'ah.
The Prophet, sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam, also said that Allah grants us many gifts on this day.
One of these gifts is a very specific time: if one makes a Du'a (supplication) during this time, Allah will accept it.
Alhamdulillah, we thank Allah that He created us in this time – a time with far greater rewards for the Ummah that follows the Prophet, sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam.
Certainly, this is the most difficult time for a believer, for a Muslim. To hold onto one's faith and religion is, as the Prophet, sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam, said, like holding burning coals in one's hand.
It was, of course, not in our hands to be born in this time; Allah created us and placed us in this difficult era.
He does what He wills; we cannot object to that.
That is the difference between the believing Muslims and the followers of other Prophets.
As believing Muslims, we are glad that Allah created us this way and placed us in this time.
We raise no objections whatsoever to this.
It is forbidden for a believer to speak like that.
The companions of the previous Prophets – even the companions of the 'Ulul 'Azm Prophets like Sayyidina 'Isa and Sayyidina Musa – caused them problems. They asked questions that someone with proper Adab (manners) towards Allah and His Prophet would never ask.
Take, for example, the followers of Sayyidina Musa, 'alayhis-salam. He saved them from the oppression of Fir'aun. He was granted all these miracles and brought them to a safe place.
Fir'aun had killed their babies and abducted their women to exploit them.
They suffered under the most severe oppression.
And yet: hardly had they reached a safe place in the Sinai and Sayyidina Musa left them for a few days to speak with Allah 'Azza wa Jalla, they immediately built a statue of a calf and began to worship it.
There are thousands of such examples showing how incredibly weak their faith was.
Look at Sayyidina 'Isa, 'alayhis-salam. Those who claim to follow him today do not, in reality, even do so by one percent.
The Prophet, sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam, said that the Prophets are the most patient and the most oppressed people.
And Sayyidina Muhammad, sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam, was the most patient of them all.
We also see this with Sayyidina 'Isa, 'alayhis-salam. He was of incredible patience. Every day he performed miracles; hundreds, indeed thousands of people waited for his blessing and hoped for Shifa (healing) from him.
He healed all sorts of ailments: he restored sight to the blind and healed skin diseases.
Even with incurable diseases, thousands of people came to him daily.
All those who claim that Islam is not a religion and reject the Prophet, sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam, should look at the closest companions of Sayyidina 'Isa – his disciples. They were his highest-ranking followers.
And what did they ask him? They asked: "Can your Lord, your Allah, Allah 'Azza wa Jalla, send down to us a richly set table so that we may eat and be satisfied?"
The Qur'an is the miracle of Allah.
The Qur'an al-Azimush-shan is the only remaining, true, heavenly book from Allah 'Azza wa Jalla.
When one reads its words, one understands how these people truly were, how they thought, what character they had, and in what situation they found themselves.
They said: "If your Lord can do this..."
If someone were to say such a thing in our faith, it would be the end of their faith.
Inna Allaha 'ala kulli shay'in qadir (Verily, Allah has power over all things).
Allah has done everything, does everything, and can do everything.
He only has to say "Be", and it is (Kun fa yakun).
Nevertheless, Sayyidina 'Isa remained incredibly patient; he did not yell at them.
Instead, he even prayed to Allah, and Allah sent the table down for them.
Because of this mentality, today we see many non-Muslims – and sometimes even Muslims who emulate them –
who ask: "Why did this happen? Why is this happening to me of all people?"
Many of them rebel against it.
Christians and other non-Muslims alike.
Hindus or followers of other religions might be patient because they fear being reborn as a chicken or a mouse.
They keep quiet and avoid problems in the hope of a better next life.
But other groups – whether they call themselves believers or not, and especially those who do not believe in Allah at all nowadays – rebel continuously against Allah.
Sometimes you hear people say: "I have stopped praying to Allah."
That is like when we were children: when we were angry at someone, we stopped talking to them or avoided them. This is exactly how these people behave towards Allah 'Azza wa Jalla.
They do not understand that Allah is not dependent on their 'Ibadah (worship). Their behavior does not affect Allah in the slightest.
Yet the Shaytan whispers to them: "Look, Allah gives to the others, while you suffer so much. So you should not listen to Him. Let it be." In doing so, you are only doing yourself a favor with worship, not Allah.
If you are sick, living in poverty, or going through difficulties, and remain patient through it, Allah will reward you for it.
People invent all sorts of philosophies about this.
In our religion, we do not need such philosophies. Just follow the path. Once you have found the right path, stay on it and do not deviate from it.
Therefore, in this Khutbah, we remember the Hadith of the Prophet, sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam, which says: To taste the sweetness of Iman (faith), you must love Allah and His Prophet, sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam, more than anything else.
If you want to find this sweetness of faith – and it is the most valuable thing for a believer –
you must love for the sake of Allah and hate for the sake of Allah.
The third point is: you must detest falling back into disbelief just as much as you would detest being thrown into the fire.
This is extremely important so that one does not slip into a wrong mindset and think that, although one has done everything right, one is dissatisfied with what has happened. Only Allah determines what happens.
In many situations, you must keep in mind that there are people who are a thousand or a million times worse off than you.
Today, I read messages on my phone. One of our Murids in Dagestan has two sons fighting in Ukraine.
One of them became a Shaheed (martyr).
He simply sent me a message asking me to make a Du'a for him.
His faith is truly very strong.
May Allah reward him and be pleased with him.
"Innama yuwaffas-sabiruna ajrahum bighayri hisab" – Verily, the patient will be given their reward without measure.
As we said at the beginning of the Suhbah: Alhamdulillah, we are thankful for what Allah has given us – to be able to live in this time and in this good place.
It is a great favor from Him.
We also ask Allah not to burden us with trials that we cannot bear, insha'Allah.
This is equally important: the Prophet, the Sahaba, and the Awliya advise people against taking on burdens that they cannot carry.
May Allah protect us, insha'Allah.
Until, insha'Allah, Sayyidina Mahdi, 'alayhis-salam, appears and saves all of humanity.
May Allah protect you, your children, the children of all Muslims, and all of humanity from the Shaytan and his followers, insha'Allah.

إِنَّمَآ أَمۡوَٰلُكُمۡ وَأَوۡلَٰدُكُمۡ فِتۡنَةٞۚ (46:15)
Your wealth and your children are but a test for you.
You must teach them to avoid fitnah.
Whether dealing with money, children, or family, you must guide them with good manners and proper teachings.
When spending, money should not be your ultimate goal; it is simply a means to an end.
Many people, before acquiring wealth, intend to give to charity, help the poor, and do good deeds.
However, once they obtain the money, they fail to do so.
They end up doing nothing.
The same applies to children.
When they are young, their families bring them to the mosque or to gatherings for the sake of Allah.
They are happy when they are little.
But once they pass the age of ten, they start running away from these gatherings.
Therefore, you must be careful with your children and instill good manners in them from childhood.
As they grow up, ensure they are in good environments and with friends who follow the path of Allah.
Many people are only concerned about what their children will study and what careers they will pursue.
They take great interest in this; some even send them to learn piano, music, singing, or dancing.
But when it comes to acts of worship ('ibadah), they have no interest at all.
Because children are a treasure.
They are indeed a precious treasure.
You must not leave this treasure in the hands of a thief.
These thieves want to snatch your children from your hands and destroy them.
Because each of these children is a future enemy of Shaytan.
That is why Shaytan wants to destroy their beliefs. By exposing them to bad teachings, bad habits, and bad behavior, they are stripped of their humanity.
Once parents lose their children, they run from place to place in panic.
They say, "Please make dua! My child has lost their faith, my daughter is unhappy with us, my son has run away from home to live with bad friends."
After the damage is done, they run from place to place.
This education must start from childhood.
Childhood means that even a three-year-old can learn.
The followers of Shaytan know this better than we do.
That is why they are making schooling mandatory from the age of three.
I was seven years old when I first went to school.
Back then, what we learned in six years of school was better than a modern high school education.
These people understand that a child can begin learning at three years old.
They insist that you send your children to school at this early age so they can teach them whatever they want.
There is a Turkish saying: "A tree can be shaped however you like when it is small."
You can bend it this way or that way; just like the Japanese, who create fascinating shapes with bonsai trees.
While it is young and soft, you can mold it into anything.
From the age of three, you must be careful with your children and teach them good manners and how to treat others well.
If you find a good teacher or a small school, you must ensure your children are happy and content with this good environment.
It is astonishing. These children know nothing bad; they go to kindergarten completely pure.
Yet, after just two days, you hear them speaking bad words.
This is happening everywhere—not just here, but even in Arab countries, Turkey, and elsewhere.
These schools are irresponsible; the staff are only there for the money or a job, making the environment completely toxic.
Therefore, you must be vigilant and strive to teach your children good manners and values.
Even before this current war broke out, it was well-known globally how the followers of Shaytan want to destroy humanity.
They are violent and have absolutely no mercy in their hearts.
So you must be careful and protect yourself and your family from these devils.
Yes, this is real; they have a plan.
They are not stopping, they never get tired, and they never give up.
They are completely determined to destroy humanity.
And the most asleep among people are the Muslims.
All of humanity is sleeping, but Muslims are in the deepest slumber.
They prefer to rest and avoid any exertion.
They have been overcome by laziness.
Even when faced with immense danger, they do absolutely nothing.
Mawlana Sheikh used to tell a story.
It is a true story.
During the time of Sultan Abdul Hamid, they were conscripting men for the army.
However, those who resided in the dergah as dervishes were exempt from military service.
Many of the men there were simply eating and sleeping, doing absolutely nothing.
The dergah was completely full of such people.
Officials came to the Sultan and told him: "Most of these men are fleeing the army. They are liars, not true dervishes. They just want a nice place to eat and sleep without working."
One of the Sultan's advisors asked, "What can we do with these people? This is a dergah, so we cannot just kick them out since they claim to be dervishes."
"What must we do to make them join the army?"
He said, "Oh Sultan, I have an idea."
"We can light a fire on one side of the dergah. When these fake dervishes run away, we will catch them and conscript them into the army."
They started a small fire, and everyone who saw it immediately ran away.
They were caught and forced into the army.
Everyone fled, except for two men who remained lying there, asleep.
One of them was closer to the fire.
He said to his friend, "Oh my friend, can you roll over a little bit? The fire is coming closer, so I need to move."
His friend replied, "Aren't you too tired to even tell me to move? You expect me to roll over?"
The Sultan's men saw this and said, "Okay, these two are the only real dervishes in this dergah."
"Move them to a safe place and let the fire burn here."
Nowadays, people have become just like this.
Muslims do not want to move or take any action whatsoever.
Whether for their children or themselves, they sit every day staring at these devices, which are destroying them.
You must be careful about what these devices contain.
They are draining your mind, your health, and everything else, yet people still ignore the harm in them.
As we said, there are countless bad things within them.
Furthermore, they steal your identity, take your money, or lead you into gambling and other vices.
People say they want to be entertained all the time, but constant entertainment is not good for you.
Sometimes, you need to experience boredom.
When you are bored, you actually pay attention to your work, your family, and your children.
You shouldn't focus solely on entertaining yourself and feeding your ego.
May Allah save us from this fitnah.
May He not make our wealth and children a trial for us.
Insha'Allah, may our children remain our true treasures, as we discussed.
Because regarding this treasure, the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said that when someone passes away, only three things continue to bring them rewards in their grave.
First, beneficial knowledge that people continue to use.
Second, continuous charity (Sadaqah Jariyah).
And third, a righteous child who prays for you.
May Allah keep us safe from these trials.
Both young and old, everyone is caught in this fitnah right now.
But what Allah wants from us is to rely on dua and prayer.
Never forget to pray at all times.
May Allah save us, Insha'Allah.

Followers of our Naqshbandi Tariqa who come to this masjid are happy to be followers of the Tariqa and to be in the company of its people.
The masjid is the House of Allah 'Azza wa-Jalla, calling everybody to this place of obedience to worship Him.
This is meant for everyone.
So, Alhamdulillah, when we find a mosque, we can come and go to pray, and of course, praying in a mosque brings a greater reward.
For believers, a Zawiya or Tekke provides power for their Iman and spreads the light of Islam.
The Prophet (sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam) said that praying in congregation in a mosque is twenty-seven times more rewarding than praying alone at home.
So, when we find a mosque—a good place with good people—we must go there and not be lazy.
Mawlana Sheikh always used to say that instead of building big mosques everywhere, there should be small mosques in the area, sufficient for each street.
This way, when people hear the Adhan, they can easily reach the congregation.
There should be one in every street or neighborhood to make it easy for people to attend without feeling lazy.
Nowadays, they are building huge mosques, but they are often located far away from the people.
So, whoever wants to go there must have a car to attend the prayers.
And those who do not have a car will end up staying at home.
Shaitan has many tricks; one of them is making people think, "We have a big mosque, we can go pray there," but when the time for prayer comes, it feels difficult or burdensome to go.
Laziness overtakes them, and they decide not to go, thinking it is too much effort to prepare and drive for ten or fifteen minutes.
But if there is a small mosque on their street, they can just quickly put on a jacket and easily join the congregation.
When the Prophet (sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam) first emigrated from Mecca to Medina, he built a mosque even before fully entering Medina.
It was the very first mosque in Islam.
Then, they built Al-Masjid an-Nabawi.
He helped build it himself, carrying stones and wood to construct the mosque in Medina.
He was with all the Sahaba; they were helping, and they earned this honorable mention.
All the Sahaba were carrying mud, stones, and wood to build the first mosque of the Prophet (sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam).
Even though it was an old building and none of them are here today, those who built it are still remembered.
They are not forgotten in the Divine Presence of Allah 'Azza wa-Jalla, nor are they forgotten among Muslims.
In a Hadith, the Prophet (sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam) stated that whoever lays even a single stone to build a mosque, Allah will reward them with a house in Jannah.
It is a great reward and favor from Allah to enable someone to construct such a building.
Whoever does this is truly blessed.
There are hundreds of thousands of millionaires who could build one, but they do not give a single penny to help; they are the unfortunate ones.
Allah looks with mercy upon the congregation in the mosque who obey Him, respect the Prophet (sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam), and respect other believers.
He is pleased with them, showering His rewards and mercy upon them.
The mosque is a center for training and teaching believers from childhood to love this holy place.
This is very important.
It is not just about building it and putting guards at the doors to only allow those you like and turn away those you dislike.
It must be understood that it is a training center for believers, starting from childhood.
The congregation should encourage children to come to the mosque.
They should be happy to be at the mosque. I have met many people, some in their thirties or fifties, who told me, "Once I was in a mosque, and some older people slapped me, and after that, I never returned."
Let the children come and play here; let them shout, laugh, and jump.
Do not do anything that makes them afraid of this place.
If you are not happy with this, then do not come.
You can stay in your house, sit in a room, and carefully close the door.
Nobody will make you angry there.
You will just be by yourself.
It is better for such people to stay at home.
It is better for one intolerant person to leave the mosque than for a hundred children to be chased away.
These young ones are the future men and women of the community.
They are the future congregation.
It is better for a grumpy person to leave than for the entire future congregation to run away, developing a hatred for Islam, the Tariqa, and Allah.
This approach is perfectly aligned with the teachings of the Prophet (sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam).
Once, while he was delivering a Khutbah, his grandson, Sayyidina Hussein, came in. The Prophet came down from the minbar, kissed him, and took him back up to the minbar with him.
Especially here nowadays, and in almost every other place around the world, the situation has become nearly the same.
When a child is driven away from the mosque, there are hundreds of thousands of devils waiting outside to catch them and lead them astray.
If something negative happens to them at the mosque, it becomes very difficult to bring them back to this blessed place.
The mosques of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah, in particular, must show more tolerance toward these youth.
Otherwise, deviant groups will take them and turn them into enemies of the Tariqa, the Madhabs, the Sahaba, the Ahl al-Bayt, and even the Prophet himself.
They will teach them bad manners and corrupted beliefs.
When the youth are firmly attached to the mosque, they become a great support for Islam.
They will be a positive force, not only for Islam but for all of humanity.
They will serve as good guides to show people the right path.
They will guide others toward the way of mercy, blessings, and all things good.
If we look at the history of the Sahaba, you might imagine that they were all 30, 40, or 50 years old.
However, most of these Sahaba who became leaders of the nation were actually very young.
Many were perhaps only 15, 16, or 17 years old.
But when you hear their stories—how they guided their nation toward Islam, supported the Prophet (sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam), and fought alongside him against their enemies—
—you would feel as though they were at least 30 years old.
In reality, most of them were just 15, 16, 17, or 18 years old.
They were all students of the best teacher in the universe, the Prophet (sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam).
They loved him deeply, and he taught them excellent manners.
Before this, these were people of the desert.
They knew nothing about true respect; they only respected power, wealth, and those who were strong.
Even their respect was superficial, mostly just to appear superior to others.
They possessed no good adab or proper behavior whatsoever.
They were rough like timber or stone, completely lacking in good manners.
But the Prophet (sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam) taught them good manners, and they became the most highly refined and well-behaved of people.
These people rose from the lowest level to the highest rank among human beings.
This is reflected in the Prophet's (sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam) saying, "Ashabi kan-nujum, bi ayyihim iqtadaytum ihtadaytum."
"My companions are like stars; whichever of them you follow, you will be rightly guided."
When some polytheists came and saw the Prophet (sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam) speaking in the mosque, they described his companions as being so profoundly silent and still that if a bird were to land on their heads, it wouldn't be startled.
Such was their immense respect for the Prophet (sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam).
This level of discipline was completely unprecedented for people of that region.
One time, while the Sahaba were praying, they heard a noise and saw a Bedouin man urinating inside the mosque.
To the Bedouin, this was a normal thing to do.
So, the Prophet (sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam) gently taught him better.
When the Sahaba became angry with the man, the Prophet told them to leave him be, advise him gently for next time, and simply wash the area.

We are here for the sake of Allah.
We are attending this gathering solely for the sake of Allah.
There is no worldly benefit.
Our intention must be like this.
In everything you do, you must have a pure intention, doing it purely for Allah.
When you do this, Allah will reward you for everything you do—for every breath, every minute, and every second.
He will reward you and be pleased with you.
This is what Mawlana used to say every time, quoting the great saints.
"Ilahi anta maqsudi wa ridaka matlubi."
"O my Lord, You are my aim, and Your pleasure and happiness are my wish and what I desire."
This is what Mawlana pursued his entire life, following this saying.
And until the end of his life, he kept this same promise, never saying anything else.
Many people or scholars who interact with the public might abandon the way of Allah just to please people, saying, "Okay, we will make these people happy with us."
Mawlana Shaykh never tried to please people if it meant displeasing Allah.
Everything he did was according to the way of Allah, in order to earn His pleasure.
Because he was a successor of the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam), he followed the exact same path.
He did not deviate or go against this way at all.
This is the way of our Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) and his successors: Sayyidina Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, and Ali.
They were all upon this path and continued in this way.
When Sayyidina Umar succeeded Sayyidina Abu Bakr, he stood on the minbar and addressed the people, saying: "If you see anything wrong in me, or if I deviate and do not walk straight, straighten me with your swords."
We do not accept anyone who claims, "I am from Tariqah," while doing wrong.
If you do something that is not accepted by the Shari'ah or goes against what the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said, we will never accept it.
Because people come to the Tariqah, and alhamdulillah, seeing the Tariqah, they find what Mawlana Shaykh was teaching: showing people the right way.
Sometimes, people come and deceive them.
Someone might say something that is not according to the Shari'ah.
Because of this, you must be careful.
You must use your mind to determine whether what is being said is right or wrong.
If you have any doubts, you must ask a Wakil, or ask someone who is more knowledgeable than you.
We are all human beings, so this can happen.
Therefore, we want to tell people this so they are not deceived.
Of course, it is not like this every day. Perhaps it will never happen, insha'Allah, but sometimes we do hear about such things.
Even during the time of the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam), many false prophets appeared.
The most famous one was named Musaylamah al-Kadhdhab, Musaylamah the Liar.
He married a woman who also claimed to be a prophet.
For her mahr (dowry), he said, "I give the entire obligation of prayer as your mahr."
"There is no need for our nation to pray anymore."
The number of people following him was not just 10, 15, 100, or 1,000.
There were more than 200,000 people following him, and they fought alongside him.
It was a great tribulation (fitna).
So this is why we say this: even during the time of the Prophet, people believed in such individuals, so anyone can easily be deceived.
Therefore, we are warning people not to accept anyone who is not following the Shari'ah.
Some people come and claim, "I am the Mahdi," and some people actually accept them.
There was once a young man in Istanbul, about 30 or 40 years ago.
He used to attend Mawlana's sohbas, and he deceived perhaps half of the young men there.
They followed him when he claimed to be Isa (alayhis salam).
For this reason, be careful.
Especially nowadays, things are even worse with the internet. Some people present themselves as representatives of us or of the Tariqah.
They take pictures, go around, and claim, "I am the closest to the Shaykh," or "I am the most knowledgeable and his most beloved."
And after that, they deceive people.
Therefore, it is our duty to advise people from the beginning to stay with good people—those who do not use the Tariqah or anything else to deceive others.
Truly, Allah will punish them. Allah will punish them, insha'Allah.
This is the work of Shaytan.
He will always do this.
Since Shaytan is always present, you can be deceived at any time.
However, you must be careful and know the way of the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam).
When Mawlana Shaykh met the Archbishop of Istanbul, the Archbishop invited him and asked, "When will this problem with fitna end?"
Mawlana replied, "When Shaytan retires."
He never retires, he never gets tired, and he never gives up.
He is constantly on your head every single day.
But Allah said, "Inna kaydash-shaytani kana da'ifa."
Allah said that the plan of Shaytan is weak.
So, insha'Allah, may Allah keep us safe from him.
May Allah bless you all, insha'Allah. Mashallah, people are coming to this place again, alhamdulillah.
May Allah expand this dargah and mosque, making it a good sanctuary for people, insha'Allah.
May Allah bring good people here to help change our bad character, to instill love for one another, and to teach goodness, insha'Allah.
May Mawlana Shaykh Hasan have a long life.
Ameen.
He is a sincere person. Sometimes people try to deceive him, but not in matters of faith, alhamdulillah.
Just in other minor things...
Mashallah, this building and the other buildings are all the result of his efforts, alhamdulillah.
Today I remembered, and I told Abdul Malik about Shaykh Hasan when he was in Damascus.
There was an old house in front of the mosque in Damascus, at the maqam of Mawlana Shaykh.
The maqam used to be very small, perhaps the size of this area or even smaller.
Shaykh Hasan bought that house, and they rebuilt the mosque to make it much wider, alhamdulillah.
Not only did they make the mosque bigger, but they also built a large kitchen downstairs.
For 15 years during the war, they fed everyone who came. Rich or poor, around 2,000 people came to eat there every day.
May Allah bless all of you.
Insha'Allah, may Allah give you the ability to do what pleases Him, and fulfill your intentions to build maqams, give charity, and do good for humanity.

Alhamdulillah, we are coming together again. Allah has granted us life.
Time really passes quickly.
It has already been seven years now since we were here in Holland.
It is our duty to call people to faith, to visit them, and to guide them to the Tariqah, to Islam.
But since we are only human, we cannot be together continuously.
Of course, many people travel via Istanbul during their summer holidays, drop by briefly to see us, and then travel on to their villages or cities.
However, this perhaps only applies to five percent of the Jama’ah, or even less.
Most of them are here; they can neither be with us nor see us.
Therefore we thank Allah, alhamdulillah, that we are seeing each other again now.
That is the duty of all Prophets: to travel around and call the people.
We follow their example.
We follow their example and thereby revive a Sunnah.
Allah grants us reward and spiritual strength for this.
The Prophet ṣallá Llahu ‘alayhi wa-sallam said: When a Muslim visits his Muslim brother, Allah gives him a reward for every step he takes, forgives him a sin, and elevates him by one degree.
And this, of course, applies to most of you.
Since they have come to visit their brother in faith and are Muslims themselves, Allah will grant most of them this reward, inshaAllah.
And this is also a Sunnah that Mawlana Shaykh Naẓim maintained throughout his entire life.
Over the last almost 25 years, he kept coming to Europe and traveling around here.
Ever since Mawlana Shaykh ‘Abdu Llah gave him the Ijazah to be a Shaykh, he was constantly traveling.
Of course, each of the Awliya’u Llah, the Mashayikh, has his own approach.
Mawlana Shaykh ‘Abdu Llah, on the other hand, never traveled.
He spent most of his time in Damascus.
He also traveled to Makkah and Madīnah to perform the Khalwah and the Ḥajj.
But right at the beginning, he sent him to Cyprus to invite the people to the Tariqah and guide them to the path of the Prophet ṣallá Llahu ‘alayhi wa-sallam.
Therefore we try, inshaAllah, to follow his path, and he grants us support in doing so.
Today is, alhamdulillah, the birthday of Mawlana Shaykh: the 21st of April.
At his birth in the year 1922, Shaykh Sharafuddīn ad-Daghestanī was still alive.
Through the Karamah of the Awliya’u Llah, he said to Mawlana Shaykh ‘Abdu Llah: "Today one of our sons has come into this world.
He will be a great servant to the Tariqah, the Sharī’ah, and to Islam.
Thousands of people will find Islam through him."
Alhamdulillah. Mawlana Shaykh Sharafuddīn ad-Daghestanī even described his face and his character, and did so exactly on the day of Mawlana Shaykh Naẓim's birth.
Masha’Allah, Mawlana Shaykh lived to be almost a hundred years old. With the teachings of Mawlana Shaykh ‘Abdu Llah and all the transmitted knowledge – there was never anyone who possessed such knowledge and such a high rank.
Sometimes we meet Mashayikh or other people who have something hidden or obvious about them, who know certain things or do not.
But with Mawlana Shaykh, Masha’Allah, everything was perfect; be it in the sciences, the Sharī’ah, or the Tariqah.
In all these areas, he was at the absolute top.
A "Warith Muhammadi Haqīqi" – "A true Muhammadan heir."
Alhamdulillah, he never said: "I am tired of receiving people."
Until his last days, he received people, taught them, spoke with them, and prayed for them.
Every day he would say: "My intention is to destroy Kufr. That is my Niyyah, my plan."
He repeated this anew every single day.
And this noble intention is a valuable lesson for us.
Because the intention is crucial, and Allah rewards us for it.
This is also a guide for us to attain rewards.
For it is said: "Niyyatu l-mar’i khayrun min ʿamalih."
The intention of a person is better than their action.
He also had the intention and spoke of establishing forty thousand Zawiyahs, that is, Dergahs.
For a Dergah, Zawiyah, or Mosque is a refuge for the believers, a place where people come together.
All Tariqahs have such meeting places so that people can get to know each other and listen to their Murshid, the Shaykh.
It is about becoming familiar with one another and growing closer to each other.
And that is only possible in this way.
For the Prophet ṣallá Llahu ‘alayhi wa-sallam said that the Mu’mins are like a single body; if one part of the body suffers, the whole body suffers with it.
Through this, they recognize what the others need or what must be done.
All this, every good teaching, is imparted in the Dergah and Zawiyah.
And people get to know each other there.
If people were strangers to each other, they would not believe or follow anyone who simply demands something from them.
But in the Zawiyah or Dergah, they are familiar with each other.
Exactly for this reason, they can help each other.
And the good must be taught there.
People can ask there what is right and what is wrong.
Because many people spread claims about Islam that do not belong to Islam at all. This leads to people turning away from Islam.
Therefore, in the Dergah, what is truly right is taught.
The most important thing for today's time is of course the following: Many ask about the global situation – what has happened and what will still happen.
What you need to do is this: Do not believe the majority of what you see or what is being told about the events.
You simply have to stay calm.
For many people guided by Shayṭan try to incite the Muslims. They want to provoke them into taking to the streets, destroying things, throwing stones, shouting around, and the like.
In the end, it will all turn out to be a false game, and it will not end well for these people.
That is the approach of the non-Muslims.
Mawlana Shaykh used to say: Whenever a Muslim is distressed, he should go to the mosque.
Do Tasbīḥ and make Du’a’, so that Allah supports you in your concerns and protects you.
But if you tell them that today, they get angry and think: "You are not supporting us."
Whatever one supports now – we are in the time of Shayṭan.
Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla says: 'Wa La Tulqū Bi’aydīkum ‘Ila t-Tahlukah' (Qur’an 02:195).
Do not throw yourselves into destruction.
So if you cause unrest, it will only put you in danger and has no benefit whatsoever.
Everything happens solely according to the will of Allah.
And we are living in the End Times.
No weapon can stop these developments – only Sayyidina Al-Mahdi ‘alayhi s-salam, inshaAllah.
For everything must happen in accordance with the wisdom and guidance of Allah.
The Prophet ṣallá Llahu ‘alayhi wa-sallam also kept himself hidden until the time was ripe for him (sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam) to appear and call the people to faith.
Therefore, the people of the Tariqah strictly adhere to what our Prophet (sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam) taught.
The current time is the End Times, the time of Fitnah.
Therefore we advise our people, the people of the Tariqah, to stay calm, to pray and to make Du’a’, so that Allah may save us and the whole world, inshaAllah.
Allah says: 'Faşbir ‘Inna Waada Allahi Ĥaqq' (Qur’an 30:60).
Allah says: Be steadfast; the promise of Allah is true.
And this "Waad", the promise of Allah, means that the whole world will accept Islam, inshaAllah.
This is the only safe path for humanity.
Everything has already been tried, every good and bad way.
They have all tried their hand at it. They have killed millions of people, tortured and oppressed people.
Many different systems were tried out, but none of them worked.
The only way to truly save humanity is Islam.
InshaAllah. A believer, a Mu’min, must hold fast to this and must not give up hope.
If you are aware of this, you will find inner peace and be rewarded because you are patiently waiting for relief from Allah.
May Allah let these days dawn soon, inshaAllah.

الخير في ما اختاره الله
‘Goodness is in what Allāh ﷻ has chosen.’
This is the first thing our ṭarīqah people must learn after Adab.
Whatever happens, this is what Allāh ﷻ chose for us.
And it is the best thing.
Of course, it is just easy to say it like this, but to be acting upon this saying is not easy but difficult.
If you accept this, you will surrender and not make a problem for yourself.
This is what Prophet ṣalla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam was saying for the whole world, especially for Kings and Czars in the letters he ﷺ sent them.
He ﷺ was saying, “Aslim Taslam,” “Submit, you’ll find peace.”
When the one ruling people (the head) accepts this, all of his country will be safe, happy and blessed.
For this, they were spreading this rule around, as much as they can.
Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, the ṣaḥābah and after them the believers were trying to spread this rule around the world.
They teach this to save people from oppression, from bad people and to save them from a bad end.
They try hard to save people.
This is Islām: what Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says.
And we are following this with ṭarīqah and Sufi way.
Islām is the religion of Allāh ﷻ.
And the religion, of course, of all prophets.
All prophets are in Islām.
Of course, they say Jewish, they say Christian, they say other things; but the real religion is Islām.
Islām means to accept what Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla says.
And they are spreading this because this is what human beings are in need of; like food, like drink, like air.
What’s even more important than these things is to accept and surrender to Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla, to accept everything coming from Him ﷻ.
However, they are showing Islām badly, especially in Europe, everywhere we go.
They have an image of Islām that it is a very violent religion, and it doesn’t accept human beings’ rights.
But those who are saying this about Islām are hypocrites.
Why are they saying this?
Because they are following their egos.
Whatever their ego likes, they are doing.
After that, they are covering this and attacking Muslims and Islām.
And they have the biggest cover, blanket to cover their crimes, their hypocrisy and every bad thing they do and is done.
They are covering it all with this big blanket of lies.
And this is a very heavy blanket; poor people cannot take it off their heads.
But in the end, this cover, blanket will be taken off, reality will be shown and everyone will accept it and be happy, in shā’a Llāh.
Of course, as we said, Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla does everything.
When the time comes, all this will be gone and it will open as light again.
In shā’a Llāh we believe and accept this.
And in shā’a Llāh, we are praying for this cover to open and for people to get happiness, in shā’a Llāh.

‘Wa ta‘āwanū ‘ala l-birri wa t-taqwā wa la ta‘āwanū ‘ala l-lithmī wa l-‘udwān’, (Qur’ān 05:02).
Our ṭarīqah orders to collect people to help each other and help everybody.
Ṭarīqah is to make people live as human beings.
Humanity is not to harm anybody.
The first teaching of ṭarīqah is Adab, good behavior.
For this, we are training people to get rid of bad manners and take good manners.
So, alhamduliLlah, Allāh ﷻ bless you for this opening [of the new Dergah] we made today, and bless the lady, rahmatu Llah alayha (may Allāh ﷻ bless her soul), who donated.
This is a Zāwiyah or as we call it Takkiyyah or Khanqah for ṭarīqah.
It is for serving people and serving humanity.
AlhamduliLlah, Allāh ﷻ will reward this lady forever.
Because since a long time, you didn’t have such a place.
Every time, you go from place to place.
This time alhamduliLlah it’s good.
This is from the order of Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam to make a place for people to take anything they are in need of: to learn, to follow.
You are living in a country that is of course non-Muslim.
For this – in Muslim countries also – it is open for everybody.
Whoever likes to get benefit and light, they can come ask and take, in shā’a Llāh.
The most valuable benefit is spiritual benefit.
To have this benefit of being a believer, of believing is the most precious thing.
For this, we are, in shā’a Llāh, praying for Allāh ﷻ to make this place a light for all France, in shā’a Llāh.
And to keep all people safe from shayṭān and his followers.
May Allāh ﷻ bless you.
Allāh ﷻ doesn’t forget anything.
‘Faman Ya’mal Mithqāla Dharratin Khayrāan Yarah (7) Wa Man Ya’mal Mithqāla Dharratin Sharrāan Yarah (8)’ (Qur’ān 99:07-08). Even one atom is rewarded.
Nothing goes without reward; nothing is forgotten.
This is a favor from Allāh ﷻ.
Whatever He ﷻ wants, He ﷻ does.
And AlhamduliLlah this happened [this Dergah opening].
AlhamduliLlah. Thank you very much.
May Allāh ﷻ keep you and your children, and make you hidāyah for others also.
In shā’a Llāh to be on the right way, way of our Prophet ﷺ, way of Allāh ﷻ, in shā’a Llāh.
And to be guidance for others.
Like the saying of Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, “Aṣhābī kā n-nujūm bi ayyihim qtadaytum htadaytum” “My companions are as the stars. Whichever you follow, you will be in Hidayah (guided).”
In shā’a Llāh, we imitate Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam.
In shā’a Llāh, the best thing for the Muslim is to imitate Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, and we imitate him ﷺ, in shā’a Llāh.
May Allāh ﷻ bless you, keep you safe from every badness and give you every good thing.
In shā’a Llāh to be barakah and khayr (goodness), and live with health, wealth and happiness.
And to be together forever, in shā’a Llāh, with Mawlānā Shaykh and Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam in Jannah, in shā’a Llāh.

As-Salāmu ‘alaykum wa raḥmatu Llāhi wa barakātuh.
Welcome.
Thank you all for being here.
You have come for the sake of Allāh ﷻ.
May Allāh ﷻ bless you, in shā’a Llāh.
This is a blessed place in the heart of Paris.
This is a gift from Allāh ﷻ for the Muslims, and for those who will become Muslims later on.
The first time I came here was nearly 30 years ago.
When we first saw this mosque, I was very happy to see this beautiful building serving as the house of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla.
They built it with clean money; there was no petrol money at that time.
Alḥamdulillāh, it was built with only clean money.
Because of this, it is gathering the hearts of good people.
They are happy here, and Allāh ﷻ is happy with them.
Many people embrace Islām in this place.
Allāh ﷻ grants them hidāyah.
They begin a new life.
A life of light, nūr, radiating from this place.
Because this beauty is at the heart of Islām—beauty in everything.
The Prophet (ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam) said, “إنَّ اللهَ جَميلٌ يحِبُّ الجَمالَ” “Allah ﷻ is Beautiful, and He loves beauty.”
So, this is a very significant matter.
Many people say not to decorate mosques, to just leave them as bare stone, not put anything inside, and keep them plain.
This is not from Islām.
The way of the Muslim, the way of the Prophet (ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam), is to honor this place.
You decorate your own house, making it nice and beautiful, but then you leave the mosque—the house of Allāh ﷻ—without any beauty!
Tasawwuf, the ṭarīqah, is the way of the Prophet (ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam).
They know how to attract people, draw them nearer to Islām, and help them become Muslim.
There is something these critics don’t understand about what can inspire many people to embrace Islām.
In the ṭarīqah, they understand this.
I will share an incident that happened to us while with Mawlānā.
In 2001, we went on our last long journey with Mawlānā.
We traveled across nearly half the world—from Uzbekistan to Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, and from there to Tokyo.
In Tokyo one night, we visited an old area, and we were told there was a mosque built by Turkish people.
It was built for Muslims, and it was given to the Tatar people.
The Turkish government later rebuilt it in the Ottoman style; it was very beautiful.
They said, “Many people go there.
We will take you to see this beautiful mosque.
Many Japanese people admire this mosque; they come to visit it.”
We prayed ‘Ishā’ there with Mawlānā, and afterward, he went to look around the mosque.
There were about seven or eight Japanese people there.
They were walking around and looking.
Afterward, they came up to us to ask something.
They were asking about Islām and wanted to take the Shahādah.
This shows how the beauty of a building can attract people, become a means for their hidāyah, and grant them eternal happiness.
Because of this, the ṭarīqah and tasawwuf remain the heart of Islām.
May Allāh ﷻ bless you.
Alḥamdulillāh, we are all on this path.
In shā’a Llāh, may we also become a source of hidāyah for others.
The people of tasawwuf are happy both here and in the Hereafter, alḥamdulillāh.
May Allāh ﷻ bless you.
May Allāh ﷻ keep you all together forever, in shā’a Llāh.
Wa min Allāhi t-Tawfīq. Al-Fātiḥah.
2026-04-18 - Dergah, Akbaba, İstanbul
May it be a blessed month! Since last night we have been in the month of Dhul-Qada, today is its first day.
Praise be to Allah, the sacred months have thereby begun.
There are three months in total.
These months are especially blessed for the blessed pilgrimage season.
The decree and the wisdom of Allah, the Exalted, are boundless.
Praise be to Allah, may these months be full of blessings and grace for us.
Our beloved Prophet (sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam) performed the Hajj only once, and that was his farewell pilgrimage.
During this pilgrimage, he showed and taught us everything that needs to be done.
The path of our Prophet (sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam) is the Quran; it is the path of the Quran.
No one could explain the Quran better and more beautifully than him.
Today, people are showing up who say: "We will only read the Quran and follow it alone."
Yet you wouldn't even properly understand the content of a newspaper, but you presume to reject our Prophet (sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam).
There are very foolish people.
May Allah protect us from these irrational, ignorant people who lead others astray.
Honoring these blessed months therefore means also honoring and loving our Prophet (sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam).
These people are not sincere, truthful people; they are only trying to lead the community astray.
Praise be to Allah, we love and honor everything our Prophet (sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam) did, and everyone he loved.
That is our path.
That is the true faith, that is the true Islam.
Whoever deviates from it falls prey to Satan, may Allah protect us from that.
Therefore, a spiritual guide and a clear path are needed; one must hold fast to this.
May Allah never lead us astray from this path.
InshaAllah, today we are setting out again to see our brothers and sisters in faith; our brothers and sisters in those regions that we have not visited for a long time are already waiting for us.
May Allah stand by them too, for strangely enough, there are also people there who call themselves Muslims but have strayed from the right path.
The people there have become a community that no longer shows respect to our Prophet (sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam).
For whatever reason, Satan seems to be able to lure them into his trap much more easily there.
The tricks of Satan are numerous; may Allah protect us from them.
Our brothers and sisters in faith there should therefore rejoice, and inshaAllah, their numbers will continue to grow.
May they never stray from the right path and fall for any trick of Satan, inshaAllah.
May Allah protect us and always stand by us.
May our journey be blessed, inshaAllah.

As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
I am happy to be back here after two long years, but it doesn't seem that long to me at all.
We often intended to come to Paris, but in the end, we always traveled somewhere else.
This is an important place for the worldly orientation of people. This is not about good things; mostly, it only serves to direct people's egos.
Nowadays, they set the direction through fashion, and that is obviously not particularly important.
For people, it is merely an outer shell.
You can constantly transform yourself into something new with it.
But all of this only serves the ego – to satisfy one's own ego.
Since they never find what they are actually looking for, they try desperately to find other things, but in the end, they remain unsuccessful.
You simply show people something and say, "This is the new trend, you must have this," and the people are already happy.
When you serve someone's ego – especially the lower ego – it makes them very happy.
If you say, "Oh, you are so nice, you are so good, you are very smart" – oh yes, that pleases people a lot.
There is a famous story from Mawlana. He often told it, and it fits this fashion world very well.
Mawlana said he read this in school during his youth.
Once upon a time, there was a king.
This king was never satisfied with his clothes. No matter which new tailor came to him, he was never happy with their work.
They brought the most beautiful garments, the best fabrics, simply everything.
He was never satisfied. He said, "No, I want something that no one has ever owned before."
This went on for a long time.
And when two swindlers heard about this, they quickly hatched a plan.
They arrived in a horse-drawn carriage and brought something special with them.
They said, "We heard that the king wants a garment that no one else has."
"That is why we have brought our equipment to produce a very special, unique fabric for the king."
"However, it is very expensive, which is why probably only the king can afford it."
When the king heard this, he was highly delighted.
He summoned them and asked, "Come and tell me what you are planning and where this fabric comes from."
They said to the king, "Oh, we are absolute masters of our craft.
We make this fabric out of the moon."
"Therefore, we need a large room for our loom, and the production will take a very long time – a whole year.
We will work hard every day to finish it in a year."
"But the special thing is: only smart people can see this fabric."
"To fools, it is invisible."
"For this, however, we also need a lot of money, and indeed in gold.
You must send us gold every time we need money."
The king was thrilled. He said, "Agreed! You shall immediately receive everything you ask for."
So they set to work. Day in and day out, they pretended to weave the fabric.
They imitated the movements and made the corresponding sounds.
Sometimes the king came by to check on things, and they said, "It is going excellently."
And the king said to his entourage, "Finally, I have found someone whose work I like. They are weaving a fabric that no one else possesses."
After a year, they announced, "We are finished. We will fit it directly on you and tailor a garment out of it."
So they undressed him.
They stripped him until he was completely naked.
They took his clothes, pretended to put the new garment on him, and reminded him, "Only smart people can see this fabric."
So they pretended to dress him and exclaimed, "It looks wonderful!" The others also said, "Beautiful, what a fine fabric! It suits you excellently."
He thought to himself that he could not possibly admit to being a fool. They asked the king, "Do you like it? Are you satisfied?"
They suggested, "We should present this garment to the people so that everyone can admire this unique fabric."
So the king set a day for the parade.
He rode out on his horse to the people.
The people didn't want to look like fools either.
The people thought to themselves, "He apparently sees it, only I am too stupid and do not see it. So I must not let it show."
So everyone shouted, "Oh, it is simply perfect!"
Proudly, he rode through the crowd.
But at the very back stood a little boy.
He looked, did not understand all the excitement, and shouted, "The king is completely naked!"
When the people heard this, they woke up from their delusion.
The king became furious and immediately ordered the swindlers to be brought in to behead them.
But they were cunning; they had already made themselves scarce long ago.
And that is exactly how the fashion industry works.
They get people to wear garbage. They design useless things, yet people are happy about them.
Simply because it comes from a famous fashion designer or a famous fashion house.
In this way, they deceive people.
This kind of deception only leads to people laughing at each other; it is a rather harmless problem.
Compared to what was done in the past and is still happening.
Every time Mawlana heard about France, he became very angry.
Why? Because of the Revolution.
The French Revolution.
This revolution destroyed humanity.
And that was what Mawlana disliked so much.
Because it was a lie from beginning to end.
The fashion we talked about is just a game. It does not destroy people; at most, it makes them laugh at each other, or takes the money out of their pockets.
But the worst is the destruction of humanity.
With all their lies and all the cruel things they did.
One of these lies concerned the queen, the king's wife, Marie Antoinette.
It was claimed that the French people complained, "We are starving, we have no bread," and she replied, "Then let them eat cake."
That was a 100 percent lie.
And even today, when I travel through France, I see the abundance of food...
Wheat, meat, and everything else the heart desires.
And historians say that the French farmer was ten times better off back then than the English one.
People said that people were being murdered in the Bastille, so they stormed it to free the prisoners. But there were only seven people there. They had expected them to be nothing but skin and bones.
But they were not emaciated at all; they were well-fed.
From the very first day, the whole thing was directed against humanity.
That is exactly what Mawlana disliked so much.
Unfortunately, this revolution in France was successful because it destroyed religion and the monarchy. That was the end of it there.
But it is spreading all over the world.
Especially in Muslim countries.
It is not over yet. The worldwide revolution has not yet reached its end.
The atrocities continue; they have no end.
That will only end with Sayyidina Mahdi, alayhi salam.
All this oppression that you see in the world,
has its roots in the French Revolution.
They overthrew all kings and sultans, and especially the caliph of the Prophet, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. They destroyed the caliphate.
They drove away the sultans.
Their greatest enemy is the sultans and kings.
Because they cannot play their games as they please when there is a sultan. Without a sultan, without a monarchy, and without kings, they can do whatever they want.
They talk about elections, but in these elections, they can do whatever they want.
They can bring anyone they want to power,
And depose anyone they want.
Everything is just a big theater.
But it is not for eternity. This too will find its end with Sayyidina Mahdi, alayhi salam.
We are doing nothing at all. We are forbidden to intervene, for everything is under their control.
There is no point in putting people in danger. Do not think you are heroes who could change anything about it. This task is meant solely for Sayyidina Mahdi, alayhi salam.
And Insha'Allah, this time is no longer far off.
All of this will come to an end.
May Allah preserve and protect you and us.
And may we live long enough to experience good days again,
To experience the end of these oppressors.
