This is nothing but tales of the ancients. (8:31)
"Those are just old stories," they say.
The Holy Quran reports that people always dismissed the pronouncements of the prophets as "old stories."
Mawlana Sheikh Nazim could only laugh at the behavior, words, and writings of these people...
For him, it was all simply ridiculous.
They call themselves "contemporaries," but our Mawlana Sheikh Nazim mockingly called them "tea companions."
That was his way of making fun of it.
"Tea companions" - they only serve nonsense.
With "contemporaries," they mean that they are modern.
It is supposed to sound modern and progressive.
This is nothing new.
It has always existed.
The disbelievers rebelled against all the prophets: "Those are just old stories, all from yesterday!"
What the prophets did was a thorn in their side.
Allah created all people equally.
For two hundred years, Satan has been sowing this thought in the Islamic world:
"You are backward, your thinking is from yesterday - just look how the disbelievers have surpassed you."
Supposedly only because they are modern.
"Throw your religion overboard, especially the old customs," they preach.
"Renew the religion."
"Be modern, be innovative!"
"Don't accept the old anymore."
"Just look at how the Europeans live!"
As soon as Europe was mentioned, the admiration for the disbelievers knew no bounds.
Whatever they did seemed beautiful to the people.
That's how people have continued until today.
Eventually they realized that there is no difference.
Nevertheless, people continue to go there because they want to be in their world of thoughts and because of the money.
Yet it is Allah, the Almighty and Exalted, who created mankind.
And wherever he is - his provision is assured.
No one is better than another.
There is no need to subordinate oneself to anyone.
And through this submission, they have lost their dignity, lost their personality.
They have lost their honor.
They are divided and scattered.
Now they are playthings.
Being modern is no art.
What good is it to be modern if you have no sense? Even being modern a thousand times will then bring nothing.
It brings nothing, it only harms.
In the name of modernity, they have robbed you, stripped you bare, taken your lands, killed and massacred you.
And you are still chasing after them in the name of modernity.
The common people are one thing - but the real danger comes from those who pose as scholars and religious experts, while they look down on the Mashaykhs and treat them with contempt.
"They are backward and from yesterday."
"They are not enlightened like us."
"Look at the Orientalists in Europe, how beautifully they speak."
"What wonderful ideas they have."
Their ideas only aim to remove people from faith and from Islam.
They are enemies of our Prophet (peace be upon him) and all his companions, nothing else.
These are the so-called modernists.
Even more dangerous than the admiration for the European lifestyle.
Because they intend directly to corrupt society and are working on it.
Nothing else.
They have nothing to show.
Whoever follows them is either a fool or a traitor.
It is not otherwise.
One of the two.
There is no third.
Therefore, be mindful.
Our path, the path that the Mashaykhs show us, that is the right path.
Do not deviate from it.
Hold fast to it, so that they cannot manipulate you like puppets.
May Allah protect us from their evil.

Allah, the Exalted, says in the Holy Quran in many places, "Afalā taʿqilūn".
"Do you not have understanding?" Allah asks.
"Do you not use your minds?"
"Come to your senses," says Allah.
Allah, the Exalted, has given man understanding so that he can distinguish good from evil;
So that he can distinguish the useful from the useless.
He has given him understanding so that he can distinguish the harmful from the harmless.
Animals have no understanding, but Allah has given them the instinct to stay away from bad things.
When they see something dangerous, they flee.
Allah has given them a brain sufficient to take care of themselves.
They manage with that.
But man is different; he must be able to recognize good and evil.
For when an animal dies, it will turn to dust on the Day of Judgment.
It has no way to go to heaven or hell.
There are only a few insects and animals.
These will enter Paradise.
The rest will have to give an account on the Day of Judgment if they have caused suffering to others.
If an animal has struck another, that animal will strike it back on the Day of Judgment.
If it has bitten, it will do the same.
After that, they too will turn to dust.
But man is different.
Man will bear the consequences of his earthly deeds in the Hereafter for all eternity.
Therefore, the disbelievers will wish: "Oh, that I had also turned to dust!"
"If only," they will say, "I had received my punishment like these and had turned to dust." But that is not possible.
Why?
Because Allah has given him understanding, so that with this understanding he knows what will happen, recognizes the dangers, and stays away from them.
So that he recognizes the good and performs his prayers.
Prayers are difficult.
He has given him understanding so that he works and earns his livelihood.
Not everything is easy.
Even those who work for the world must strive.
They strive to earn money.
It must be the same for the Hereafter.
That is Allah's wisdom; Allah does what He wills.
Now, in the coldest winter days, when it is sunny, the unreasonable say: "Oh, how beautiful!"
"What a sunny day!"
"We haven't frozen, we haven't had any difficulties," they say.
"It wasn't dark."
"It didn't rain on us."
"We didn't get stuck in the mud."
"Oh, how beautiful! We have survived the winter." But what will be in summer when there is drought?
Reasonable people pray to Allah in winter: "Oh Allah, send us rain, let it be muddy, let it snow, let it be cold, so that our seeds may thrive."
Everything depends on water.
Allah has created everything from water.
Without water, there is nothing.
The reasonable see this sunny day as Allah's wisdom and accept it; they do not say like the others: "How beautiful this is!"
"Oh! What a beautiful day."
"It's sunny."
"Look, we're walking around," many people say.
For the Hereafter, many people also live as if they are walking around on a sunny day.
They do not pray, they do not do good deeds, no charitable acts, no worship; they live according to their own desires.
But those who live only for pleasure should know that after winter comes summer, the drought.
They will find no water.
They will find no solution.
Then they begin to fidget and ask: "What shall we do?" The Hereafter is even more difficult.
You have done nothing for the Hereafter in this world.
You lived in luxury, lived only for pleasure, celebrated, ate and drank, what do I know what else you did.
Then you will have to bear the consequences in the Hereafter.
Everything has its order and its way.
You must strive for that:
In this world, you should perform your prayers.
You will reap the fruits of that in the Hereafter.
Therefore, Allah, the Exalted, says: "Use your minds."
Recognize good, recognize evil.
What does that mean?
Works done at the right time are blessed.
Allah, the Exalted, has given us understanding because after the time has passed, you do not get a second chance.
May Allah grant us all to use our minds, and also those who have understanding but do not use it.
There are hardly any reasonable people left in the world.
Give, give, give.
If you give, what will happen then?
Nothing.
The more you give, the more they take from the other side.
You want something, it disappears from the other side.
May Allah send a Mahdi Alayhissalam.
May Mahdi Alayhissalam come and clean everything up.
People have completely lost their way.
They don't even know the value of money anymore.
They also don't know the value of goods.
They know neither the value of health nor of life.
They do not know the value of the gifts of Allah.
May Allah make us among those who appreciate values, inshaAllah.
May Allah protect us.
May He send us blessed rain, inshaAllah.
The sunny days should remain for summer.
Now it should rain, storm, and snow, inshaAllah.
May Allah give his blessing, inshaAllah.

Cleanliness is part of faith.
Islam is based on purity.
Purity is the foundation of Islam.
Without purity, no worship is accepted.
For this reason, the first chapter in the Fiqh books is the Kitab al-Tahara.
That means this part deals with ritual purity - that is exactly what it is about.
The first part explains what pure water is, how it retains its purity, and what different types of water there are.
Everything originated from water, and water is essential for purity.
Without water, it does not work.
In an emergency, dry cleansing (Tayammum) is performed.
Although this is a special case, ultimately you need water to properly cleanse yourself and your clothes.
This is external purity.
Inner purity is just as important.
The inside should also be pure.
How is inner purity achieved? Through sincerity and by following the path of the Prophet.
The path of the Prophet is clear and distinct.
There are people who show the way of the Prophet.
There is the Sharia and the Tariqat.
One must follow them to lead a pure life on the path of the Prophet.
After external purity comes inner purity.
If one does not pay attention to purity, it is like dirt getting into the water - just as ablution with impure water is invalid, other things can also defile your heart in this way.
Through this defilement, your faith can be lost.
May Allah protect us from that.
Since the time of the Prophet, the helpers of Satan have often tried to corrupt the religion.
Every time they bring something new forth.
But thank Allah, the Imams of the schools of law and the masters of the Tariqas cleanse people from these things.
They keep people pure from these deceptions.
And as a result, people pay no attention to these things.
But unfortunately, the devils have been creating even more confusion lately.
They tell you something, everything seems good and beautiful.
But in the end, they mix poison into it and defile your inner self.
Your deeds become useless.
Such deeds bring you no blessing, on the contrary - they only do harm.
Therefore, it is absolutely necessary to follow the path of the Prophet so that the hereafter is blessed.
So that the hereafter is perfect.
Now it has become modern to say, 'You don't need a school of law, you don't need a Tariqat.'
Yet these things are necessary from the beginning.
Tariqat, school of law, and Sharia are the same, nothing else.
Some people just don't understand that.
That is why they are deceived.
When they are deceived, their deeds bring little benefit.
It is Islam, everything seems to be in order, but then sins also arise.
How do sins arise? They harbor resentment against some companions of the Prophet, resentment against the family of the Prophet.
They say: 'They are like us, they have no special rank.'
The more cunning among them are even more subtle - they sow doubts very carefully and gradually undermine people's faith.
Not everyone has Iman, faith.
There is Islam, but the level of Iman is higher.
Islam is the level of the Muslim, which exists, but the people with true faith, the Mu'mine, have a higher rank, they are Allah's beloved servants.
May Allah protect us.
May Allah protect us all from evil, wickedness, and impurity, inshaAllah.

And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression. (5:2)
This is the blessed commandment of Allah, the Almighty:
Help one another in doing good.
Do good.
Be benevolent.
Do no evil.
Do not be hostile.
Help each other.
This is Allah's command in Islam for a good life for people.
Do good.
Be helpful.
If you cannot do good, then at least do no bad.
If people were to follow this, they would live like in paradise, both here and in the hereafter.
But Satan does not leave people alone.
He says: "Do no good."
"Why are you doing good to these people?"
"What does it bring you? What do you get out of it?"
"Do you profit from doing good?"
"No," says Satan.
What does that mean, it brings nothing? Of course it brings something!
But Satan does not see the good and does not show it either.
He presents good as harm.
He makes evil appear good and useful.
He believes that what is obtained through deception or oppression is a gain.
But it is not a gain, but exclusively a direct harm to oneself.
Above all else, one harms oneself.
The more evil one does, the more one harms oneself.
The more good a person does, the more good he does to himself.
Allah, the Almighty, rewards every good deed down to the smallest detail and raises his rank.
Whoever does evil, every evil deed returns to him down to the smallest detail.
May Allah protect us from that.
May He grant us vigilance.
Allah, the Almighty, has given man understanding so that he can think.
If he were to think, he would not harm anyone.
He would certainly want to do good.
But people do not use their understanding.
They have put understanding aside.
They do whatever Satan says.
May Allah protect us from his evil.
May it lead to good, inshaAllah.

Our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, says:
المُؤمِنُ يَألَفُ وَيُؤْلَفُ
The believer is someone who gets along well with others and who others get along well with.
That is an exemplary Muslim.
A Muslim is someone who does not harm other people and lives in peace with them.
Rebelliousness has no place in Islam.
Harming people is not allowed.
The attribute of Allah, the Almighty and Exalted, is mercy.
The attributes of the believer should correspond to the attributes of Allah, the Almighty and Exalted.
He should be merciful, generous, and help people.
That is the true Islam.
Islam is not what is portrayed badly.
It is the hypocrites and non-Muslims who do such things.
The merciless, who know no mercy, are the hypocrites.
On the one hand, they appear merciful.
On the other hand, they inflict all kinds of evil on people without compassion.
Therefore, a Muslim should not resemble them.
The role models of a Muslim are the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, his companions, the scholars, and the friends of Allah. One should follow their path and emulate them for the benefit of people.
If one resembles the disbelievers and the merciless, what benefit is there? None.
The most important thing is our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, he is the one who shows us the way.
He is the best human being.
Among all creatures, our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, is the most honorable.
We must follow him and become like him.
As best as we can.
Therefore, we must live together with people in kindness.
With family, children, one should treat everyone well and live in kindness.
This is the command of our Prophet, a beautiful command.
Instead of living in rebelliousness all the time, one lives in peace and beauty in this way.
Cultivate good relationships with people.
That way, your own life will also be fulfilled.
That is Islam.
Islam commands nothing other than kindness and beauty.
May Allah not let us follow our ego.
May we follow the path of Islam and our Prophet, inshaAllah.
May it be so forever, inshaAllah.

And the sun runs [on course] toward its stopping point. That is the determination of the Almighty, the All-Knowing. (36:38)
And the moon - We have determined for it phases, until it returns [appearing] like the old date stalk. (36:39)
Allah, the Almighty and Exalted, speaks to us, to mankind and jinn, to all who possess understanding.
It is often said that many people live like grass, indeed, there are actually people who go through life so thoughtlessly.
"Where do you come from, where are you going?" - These questions do not interest them at all, they do not care.
Where did we come from?
Some people ask this.
"Where do we come from, where are we going?"
We came from Allah, the Almighty and Exalted.
To Him we return.
From Him to Him.
"From Hayy to Hu", as they say.
People sometimes misunderstand this, they think it means "from nothing to nothing".
As if they meant "came from nothing, went to nothing".
But it is not like that.
Hayy is Allah, the Almighty and Exalted.
And Hu is also He.
From Him to Him.
There is no other destination.
The whole universe came from Him and returns to Him.
In the Holy Quran, it says they "hasten".
All - the moon, the stars, the sun - they all move in one direction.
Allah has given mankind certain sciences.
The earth moves at many thousands of kilometers per hour.
Together with the sun, hundreds of thousands of kilometers, and with the galaxy, even millions of kilometers per hour.
Where is everything moving?
Where did it come from, where is it going?
People ask these questions.
It comes from the power of Allah and returns to His power.
It moves ceaselessly forward.
There are also old, wise sayings.
They say: "We are all sitting in the same boat and sailing towards the Day of Judgment." The Day of Judgment means standing before Allah, the Almighty and Exalted, inshaAllah.
People should prepare themselves for that.
They should know that it is not meaningless, not just a "back and forth".
It is "Hayy" and "Hu".
Not "back and forth", but "Hayy" and "Hu".
From Him we came, to Him we return.
Therefore, they should not waste their lives, not squander their days.
They should neither cause suffering to other people, nor to themselves or their families.
For all of this, they will have to answer.
Faith is important.
Faith is the most beautiful thing, and if Allah, the Almighty and Exalted, has gifted it to us, we must thank Him a million times over.
Man is not an animal.
But sometimes an animal stands at a higher level than some people, because it knows Allah, the Almighty and Exalted, and praises Him.
Everything praises Allah, the Almighty and Exalted.
Everything bows to His greatness.
This world is moving towards Allah.
Everything has an end.
This end will be with Allah, the Almighty and Exalted.
May Allah give us all faith and understanding, inshaAllah.

Allah leads astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. (14:4)
Allah, the Exalted, guides whom He wills to the right path.
To some, He does not grant it.
Whom He does not will, He does not grant guidance.
The grace, generosity, and wisdom of Allah, the Exalted, are limitless.
His secrets are endless.
And you have not been given of knowledge except a little. (17:85)
"You have only been given a little knowledge," says Allah, the Exalted.
Knowledge is an endless ocean.
People do two or three things and believe they are the smartest and wisest.
That is not so.
The knowledge of Allah, the Exalted, is limitless, unrestricted.
Therefore, guidance is the most important thing.
While Allah, the Exalted, values His guided servants, He does not value those who act arrogantly, do not acknowledge Allah, and reject the religion.
Whoever it may be, even if the whole world were in his hands, his worth is not worth a penny.
Therefore, the person to whom Allah grants guidance has attained a great favor.
It is a great and beautiful gift from Allah.
Guidance is Allah's gift to people.
There can be nothing greater for guided people.
Allah's wisdom is unfathomable.
Allah's works are unfathomable.
Some people talk bombastically. The confused are one thing, a confused person speaks as he pleases; but those who think they are clever and tell people "it is such and such"...
Whoever interferes in Allah's matters and judges Allah arbitrarily brings no benefit.
Such a person brings harm, not benefit.
May Allah protect us from that.
The important thing is that the guided person is grateful for Allah's grace and generosity and His mercy.
This is the most important thing.
One must be grateful to Allah.
May Allah keep us steadfast on this path.

Indeed, Allah does not wrong the people (10:44).
Whoever does righteousness, it is for his own soul; and whoever does evil, it is against it (41:46).
Allah, the Exalted and Majestic, does not wrong anyone.
May Allah protect us.
Wrongdoing is not among the attributes of Allah, the Exalted and Majestic.
The attributes of Allah are goodness, mercy, patience, and all other excellent attributes.
Wrongdoing and other bad attributes, may Allah protect us, are not befitting for Allah, the Exalted and Majestic.
Our religious books clearly state which attributes belong to Allah and which do not.
Wrongdoing is an attribute of the devil.
It is the attribute of those who follow him.
The greatest wrongdoing is the wrongdoing that a person inflicts upon himself, nothing else.
Allah has gifted humankind and created them so that they may worship Him.
But they abandon that and worship themselves, they adore themselves.
Instead of worshiping Allah, they worship their own ego.
By doing so, they commit wrongdoing, they inflict wrongdoing upon themselves.
Allah, the Exalted and Majestic, is in need of no one and nothing.
For He is the Creator.
He is the Creator of this universe.
We are not even like a speck of dust in this universe.
And He has honored us, "And We have certainly honored the children of Adam" (17:70), so Allah says in the Holy Quran.
"We have honored humankind, elevated and exalted them."
Even the Earth is only like a speck of dust in this universe.
In truth, it is not even like a speck of dust in Allah’s realm.
Allah has honored us so much, has exalted us so much.
But we ignore this.
As if Allah were in need of our worship.
And when people pray or perform other deeds, they take pleasure in it and believe they have accomplished something great.
Allah has honored you, and your honor lies in performing your acts of worship.
But know that whether your ego likes it or not, the worship that you perform, you do for your own benefit.
The benefit is for no one but yourself; Allah does not need it. May Allah protect us!
Everything is in His Hand.
Allah has granted you this honor.
Whoever does not do this, inflicts wrongdoing upon himself.
The greatest oppressor is the person who oppresses himself.
And unfortunately, most people do this.
They judge hastily.
They presume to judge, "This is so, that is so."
"We are clever, we know everything," they say.
Who are you to consider yourself so important?
Not even the Earth is like a speck of dust in this universe.
What are you then? Whoever turns to Allah is elevated.
Whoever turns away from Him is humiliated.
These are the verses that Allah has revealed.
If a person does wrong, he does it to himself.
May Allah protect us from that.
May Allah guide humankind.
People who think they are clever have no true wisdom as long as their minds are not on the path of Allah.
May Allah protect us.

He will say, "Oh, I wish I had sent ahead [some good] for my life." (89:24)
Man often regrets the things he hasn't done, saying, "If only I had done that."
There are two things that a person regrets.
Every worldly-oriented person, whether Muslim, believer, or non-believer, says: "If only I had done that, then I would be in a better position now."
"If we had bought this property five years ago, we would have earned so much."
"If we had invested in the stock market, we would have gained so much."
Now there is this thing called cryptocurrency, and they regret: "If only we had invested, then we would have earned so much."
This kind of regret brings absolutely nothing.
Because it was not your destiny.
Now you come to your senses, back then you had different thoughts.
Man must understand this.
Even if someone had told you in that moment: "Do this, do that," you wouldn't have done it.
To say afterwards "If only we had done it this way or that way" is a useless regret.
It brings absolutely nothing.
The useful regret is the following: "If only we hadn't been so attached to worldly things, if only we had prayed more, if only we hadn't missed prayers, if only we hadn't neglected fasting."
If you regret not following Allah's commands or doing bad things, Allah the Exalted will forgive you.
If you ask for forgiveness, Allah forgives.
That really brings something.
If you regret worldly things and say, "We didn't do this, we didn't do that," it only makes you more unhappy and desperate.
You just sigh: "Oh!"
"If only we had done it."
"Look how much this person earned, what all he has achieved."
You can regret it as much as you want, this opportunity will not come again.
What can be changed are the bad deeds - regret them and ask for forgiveness if you have wronged others.
If you have wronged no one, ask Allah for forgiveness.
If you repent for your sins, then it brings something.
They will be erased.
Good deeds will be recorded in their place.
This is a mercy and grace of Allah the Exalted for people, and the reasonable person pays attention to it.
He does not grieve over worldly things.
For things that have not happened, you simply say: "It is over."
As our late uncle Ahmed used to say: "The market in Bor is over, drive the donkey to Niğde."
This market is over, go somewhere else. Earn somewhere else, if you can, but for the hereafter, there is always a chance.
For that you should repent, ask Allah for forgiveness, and He will forgive.
May Allah forgive us all, inshaAllah.

O Allah, do not hold us accountable for what the foolish among us have done.
This is a wise saying. We reject the actions of the wrongdoers.
Do not punish us like them.
We implore Allah.
For in the time of the Prophet Moses, an entire people was punished, even if only one committed a sin.
Thanks be to Allah, this no longer happens today, through the grace of our Prophet.
Nevertheless, a shadow hangs over us due to the misdeeds committed.
What is our duty? We must reject evil.
Our Prophet, peace be upon him, teaches: If you can change it with your hand, then do it.
If you do not have the strength for that, then admonish with words: 'This is not good, do not do that.'
And if even that is not possible, then at least reject it in your heart and think: 'This is reprehensible, I do not agree with it, I do not want that.'
Of course, intervening with one's hand is impossible nowadays.
Even trying to achieve something with words - it is pointless. They do not even want to hear it.
For they consider their evil deeds to be good.
They believe their transgressions against Allah and humanity are righteous.
Therefore, a conversation with them is pointless.
The least we can do is reject it in our hearts and not accept what we see.
For they have managed to make it seem normal, and people are slowly getting used to it.
But everyone should recognize the obvious evil as evil.
One must recognize good as good in order to attain Allah's pleasure.
This is the lowest level.
A Muslim must at least be able to say in their heart: 'This is evil, this is forbidden, this is not right.' He must know that.
He must be able to distinguish between what is forbidden and what is permissible.
He must not accept what is forbidden.
May Allah protect us from that.
May Allah guide us.
People commit all kinds of evil and are even proud of it.
May Allah grant us reason and reflection.
May Allah guide us.
May Allah protect us and preserve our faith, inshaAllah.
May Allah protect us from such conditions.
