No affliction befalls except by the permission of Allah. (64:11)
Every calamity that befalls us happens only with the permission of Allah, the Exalted.
Therefore, we must supplicate to Allah.
That is, we must supplicate before something happens to us, but also when it has already happened.
And see, it is part of Allah's wisdom: In recent years, fires have been breaking out everywhere.
Fires are occurring.
And they simply cannot be brought under control.
And because these things happen at Allah's command, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, has also shown us a way for them to end through His grace.
He has taught us what to do.
“When you see a fire, say the Takbir.”
For the Takbir extinguishes the fire.
What is the Takbir?
It is the declaration of Allah's greatness.
It is the plea for help to Allah, the Exalted.
The Takbir extinguishes the fire of disbelief.
Compared to that, worldly fire is nothing.
Therefore, one should never underestimate the Takbir.
People may talk about it or mock it as much as they want – but it is a truth.
Through the omnipotence and grace of Allah, the Exalted, this calamity will pass.
We must firmly believe in this.
Thank Allah, we have been able to witness this several times.
Together with Sheikh Baba, with us in Cyprus, in the Lefke area.
The Cypriots there, frankly, don't know much about religion and faith.
But as a last resort, they called for Sheikh Baba.
And thank Allah, we were there together.
It was already approaching evening.
If the fire had reached the night, it would have been impossible to extinguish it.
With Sheikh Baba, we climbed this hill and from there began to proclaim the Takbir.
And this fire, thank Allah, was extinguished before the evening call to prayer even sounded.
As soon as we started with the Takbir, the fire slowly weakened and was completely extinguished, thank Allah.
Therefore, one should say the Takbir in places where there is a fire.
The Takbir is of enormous importance.
The Takbir is the expression of the greatness of Allah, the Almighty and Exalted.
Allahu Akbar.
Saying Allahu Akbar means “Allah is the Greatest.”
No one is as great as He, but there are many short-sighted people who do not understand this.
They say: “This one is great, that one is great.”
No one is great.
No one has even a grain of power.
Those who oppose Allah, the Exalted, have invariably failed.
Look at history, from Adam, peace be upon him, to this day: No one who claimed “I am the greatest” ultimately succeeded.
If you are so great, where are you now?
So if we repent, ask Allah for forgiveness, and say the Takbir, these plagues will be taken from us with Allah's permission.
May Allah grant us His grace and mercy, Insha'Allah.

So remain steadfast, as you are commanded. (11:112)
Regarding this verse from Surah Hud, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "This Surah has made my hair grey."
Although this verse is short, it contains the most important topic for all of humanity.
Istiqama – this means righteousness. Righteousness in every deed, in dealing with people, in everything.
But Satan has deceived people and whispered to them: "If you are righteous, you will lose. Take crooked paths, and you will gain more."
This is a trick of Satan.
Whoever deviates from righteousness and falls for this trick will find no blessing in their deeds.
However, if you remain on the path of righteousness, the grace and blessing of Allah, the Exalted, is with you.
Through His blessing, you will gain a thousand times more than you think you can earn through deception and lies.
What you gain through these crooked ways will not benefit you.
On the contrary, it will only cause harm.
For you are not only acting dishonestly, but you are also harming others and yourself.
People copy each other and mistakenly consider such deception to be cleverness or intelligence.
They think: "If you do it this way, you win."
"Why be so stupid as to remain honest?
Who benefits from honesty?", they say.
Yet this is precisely what Allah, the Exalted, commands: righteousness.
"Be righteous.
Do not deviate from the straight path.
Do not abandon righteousness.
Act in such a way that all of humanity benefits."
And if this does not happen, we see the state the world is in.
The number of those who remain on the path of righteousness is unfortunately very small.
But that doesn't matter.
Even if the whole world goes astray, you don't have to follow them.
You don't have to be like them.
Fulfill the command of Allah, the Almighty.
Don't look at others.
Everyone is responsible for themselves.
In the Hereafter, everyone will receive their reward and bear the burden of their sins.
May Allah protect us from that.
May Allah strengthen us all on the path of righteousness.

The love for Allah, the love for the Messenger, the love of the believers for one another.
The love for Allah, the love for the Prophet, and the love for fellow believers is the duty of every believer.
Without this affection, without this love, everything is dry and empty.
It is something lifeless, without sap and strength.
Affection and love breathe life into everything.
The love for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him – he is Habibullah, the beloved of Allah.
His path is the path of love, the path to Allah.
Believers should love one another.
A true believer does not look for faults in others.
He lovingly covers them up.
The hypocrite, on the other hand, looks for faults.
He deliberately searches for people's flaws.
Trying to elevate oneself and one's ego above others leads to arrogance.
Egoism and selfishness are the characteristics of the devil.
They are not the characteristics of a believer.
One must control one's ego and free oneself from these things.
Whoever does not do this will not make any progress.
His faith will not strengthen, but he will even regress.
As we see, the world is full of people who treat each other with hostility and try to harm each other.
Therefore, the world is not in a good state, not at all.
But truly, Allah, the Exalted, will send a servant to set things right again.
And this servant is, thanks be to Allah, the promised Mahdi, peace be upon him.
Waiting for him, insha'Allah, is already an act of worship.
Believing in him and waiting for him is an act of worship.
Now there are so-called scholars and others who sow doubt and say this is true and that is not true.
Their goal is to confuse people, plunge them into uncertainty, and weaken their faith.
But the true believer, as we said, will believe.
Allah, the Almighty and Exalted, will open his heart.
He will reveal the truth to him in his heart.
This too is a mercy from Allah, the Almighty and Exalted.
May Allah never deprive us of this mercy, insha'Allah.
May He increase it.
The more good there is, the more blessed it is.
The spread of evil brings no benefit, only harm.
But the abundance of good and faith is a blessing.
May Allah grant us this blessing forever, insha'Allah.

Indeed, the rising by night is most conducive for [the heart and soul] and most suitable for [clear] speech. (73:6)
Allah, the Almighty and Exalted, says that worship at night is more strenuous.
It is also more difficult for man.
Therefore, a person who performs worship at night receives multiple rewards compared to someone who prays during the day.
The venerable Ahmed al-Badawi says that a single unit of prayer at night is more valuable than the prayers performed during the day.
He is buried in Egypt, and there are many everywhere who love and follow him.
We too are here under his protection, as his guests in his Dergah.
The venerable Ahmed al-Badawi is among the friends of Allah with great spiritual power and had many lovers.
He had many followers.
Of course, spiritual manifestation changes over time.
Even though there are only a few of us here, his blessing will be upon us, insha'Allah.
So, according to his beautiful words, a single unit of prayer during the night worship is worth as much as a thousand units of prayer during the day.
How is night worship performed? Whoever performs ritual ablution before going to sleep and prays two units of prayer has already revived the night in prayer (Qiyamul-Lail).
If one also manages to get up shortly before the morning prayer to perform the Tahajjud prayer and other voluntary prayers, each of these acts is considered a revival of the night.
The value of this worship is well-kept with Allah.
Only He alone knows how great the reward will be that Allah grants.
Likewise, supplications at the time of Tahajjud, while people are sleeping, are among the prayers that are answered.
Allah, the Almighty and Exalted, grants the reward for this worship both in this world and in the Hereafter.
For a person to find inner peace, the performance of these acts is of utmost importance.
These are not obligations, but voluntary acts of worship; however, these voluntary acts strengthen the spiritual and emotional strength of a person.
And this spiritual strength is far more important than the material strength of the body.
Because spiritual strength is the means by which man educates his ego.
If this is lacking, it is of no use to nourish the body and fulfill its every desire. For even animals do nothing but eat, drink, and grow fat, without deriving any spiritual benefit from it.
Therefore, for spiritual benefit, one should perform at least two units of prayer before sleeping (Qiyamul-Lail) and two, four, or eight before the morning prayer – as many as one can manage. Even if one only prays two units, it is considered as if one has spent the whole night in prayer.
The benefit of this is immeasurable.
May Allah enable each of us and make it easy for us.
Because most people say: "I can't get up, I can't do it." This is because the ego gains the upper hand.
Therefore, it is sufficient to struggle with one's ego and get up at least 15-20 minutes before the morning prayer to perform this worship.
Yes, even if the time for the morning prayer has already come, but one has not yet performed the obligatory prayer, one can, with Allah's permission, make the intention for the Tahajjud prayer and pray it.
May Allah help us and give us strength, insha'Allah.

The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said:
"A believer does not lie."
A believer may commit other sins, but they do not lie.
Behind a lie is an evil intention.
One lies to gain an advantage, which is why lying is not among the characteristics of a believer.
A believer may commit other sins, but they must always adhere to the truth.
They must always be sincere.
Being truthful is a virtue that increases a person's honor.
Their rank with Allah rises because of it.
And their reputation among people also grows.
The epithet of the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, was Muhammad al-Amin.
This means "the trustworthy"; he was known for never lying.
Therefore, false testimony is considered a major sin in Islam.
It is even considered one of the greatest sins.
Many people consider lying a minor sin, even though it is among the greatest of all.
For example, a false statement is sometimes worse than fornication.
This is a grave sin.
Because it can destroy a person's life or grant a right to someone who is not entitled to it.
It misleads the justice system.
And where justice errs, oppression arises.
Where oppression prevails, no society can thrive.
Actions committed out of worldly greed ultimately do not bring blessings to the perpetrator.
The lie becomes fire for the liar.
Therefore, every form of lying is a sin.
One must beware of it.
That is why it is said: "An-najatu fi-s-sidq."
This means: Salvation lies in truthfulness.
Some may think they can save themselves with a lie.
They may appear saved before people, but in the Hereafter, there is no escape for them.
Therefore, one must sincerely repent and ask for forgiveness.
Whoever has given false testimony must ask forgiveness from the person they have harmed.
Otherwise, their burden and punishment in the Hereafter will be immense.
May Allah protect us from this.
May Allah protect us from straying from the right path.

(49:10) Verily, the believers are but brothers, so make settlement between your brothers. And fear Allah that you may receive mercy.
Allah, the Almighty and Exalted, says: "The believers are but brothers."
So make peace between your brothers.
If there is a disagreement between them, resolve this dispute, mediate between them.
Whoever does this will attain the mercy of Allah.
Iman, faith, is a higher level than Islam. This is especially true for the people of the Tariqa.
Anyone can be a Muslim, but being a Mu'min, a truly faithful believer, is a higher level.
Iman is a great gift from Allah, the Almighty and Exalted, and it is not bestowed upon everyone.
Not everyone possesses it.
Man achieves Iman by educating his ego, and thus attains the quality of a "Mu'min".
This quality of the Mu'min is a quality loved by both Allah, the Almighty and Exalted, and our Prophet, may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him.
Especially those who belong to the Tariqa should strive to conquer their ego and ascend to the level of Iman.
There is much to do on this path.
By fulfilling these things gradually, one reaches that level.
Only then will the mercy and grace of Allah be upon him.
For the best thing in this world is not money or wealth, but Iman.
For anyone can have money and wealth; Pharaoh had it and so did Nimrod.
The cruelest and most disbelieving people in the world can be the richest, but this money benefits neither themselves nor others.
What is truly beneficial is Iman.
If you have no Iman, what is the whole world worth?
Therefore, the one who is a Mu'min should conquer his ego and resolve the problems with his brothers.
Love should prevail between people who walk the same path.
Thus, our Prophet, may Allah's blessings and peace be upon him, says that a Mu'min with true Iman must love for his believing brother what he loves for himself.
But a Muslim, whether he possesses this love or not, is and remains a Muslim.
Everyone who says "Lā ilāha illallāh" is a Muslim.
But to reach the high level of Iman, man must control and educate his ego.
May Allah grant us all success and not let us follow our egos.
Sometimes some things may be difficult for a person.
But if one endures these difficulties and becomes a servant loved by Allah and His Messenger, then these difficulties will bring him relief.
As a reward, one finds relief in this world and his reward and recompense in the Hereafter.
Insha'Allah, may there be no discord among the believers, but affection and love.

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "al-Mu'minu ya'lafu wa yu'laf."
This means: "The believer is easygoing and maintains good relations with people."
He connects easily with others, and others connect easily with him.
People naturally have different characters. And it is precisely being able to deal with these differences that distinguishes the believer.
This is also a quality that is valued by the people of the Tariqa and by the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him; it is one of his character traits.
Therefore, a believer should be easygoing and treat people with forbearance.
Every person naturally has a different character, a different disposition. If one does not treat these differences with forbearance, it diminishes one's own spiritual rank.
For there is Iman, and there is Islam.
There is the Mu'min, and there is the Muslim.
The Mu'min is the truly faithful among the Muslims.
As for the Muslim: Whether easygoing or difficult, whether sinner or evildoer - they can all say: "I am a Muslim."
But with a Mu'min, it is different.
A Mu'min is someone who gets along well with people, performs their religious duties, walks the path of Allah, keeps away from the forbidden, and strives to do good.
For this reason, most of the noble hadiths of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, are kept short and concise so that they can be easily memorized.
If a person implements these in their life, they attain both a great reward and inner peace.
All the words, advice, and instructions of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, ultimately serve our own well-being.
May Allah make it easy for all of us to act accordingly, and may He enable us to do so, Insha'Allah.

Indeed, Allah and His angels send blessings upon the Prophet. O you who have believed, ask [ Allah to confer] blessing upon him and ask [ Allah to grant him] peace. (33:56)
O Allah, send blessings upon our master Muhammad and upon the family of our master Muhammad.
Allah, the Exalted and Majestic, thereby commands all Muslims to pronounce blessings and peace upon the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
For Allah Himself, the Exalted, and all His angels honor the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and send blessings and peace upon him.
However, the benefit of our blessings and peace wishes does not accrue to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, himself.
Rather, this benefit is for ourselves.
The more blessings and peace wishes you pronounce, the more reward Allah grants you, the more He elevates your rank, and the closer He brings you to Himself.
However, if you neglect this, everything remains barren and empty.
If a person becomes so arrogant and haughty that he thinks, "Who is he anyway?", then he is completely following Satan.
Honoring the Prophet brings the greatest benefit to all people, especially Muslims.
For through the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, Allah has bestowed Islam upon the Muslims as a mercy.
Therefore, the blessings and peace wishes for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, are among the highest forms of worship.
The honor that one shows to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, is honor that one shows to Allah, the Exalted and Majestic.
Love for him is love for Allah, the Exalted and Majestic.
The more honor you show the Prophet, the more honor Allah will bestow upon you, and the higher He will raise you in rank.
Furthermore, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, teaches us that he personally reciprocates the blessings and peace wishes that are sent to him.
So when you pronounce blessings and peace wishes, you receive the good news from the Prophet that they have been accepted.
What a wonderful thing this is! Many people wish, "If only I could see the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, in a dream." But the moment you pronounce a blessing and peace greeting, a greeting from the Prophet reaches you.
To see him in a dream, one must sleep and wake up, and possibly wait for years.
With Allah's permission, that will also happen.
The blessing and peace greeting, however, is conveyed to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, instantly.
And you receive the answer just as instantly.
May Allah increase our love for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, on this blessed Friday, inshallah.
May He not let us stray from the right path.
May He protect us from following our ego, inshallah.

Our Prophet, peace be upon him, said:
"Read the Quran."
"For every letter you read from the Quran, Allah will write down ten good deeds for you, erase ten of your sins, and raise your rank tenfold," said our Prophet, peace be upon him.
For every letter... For example, if you say "Alif-Lam-Mim."
Alif is one letter, Lam is one letter, Mim is also a single letter.
This means: By reading these three letters, you receive 30 good deeds, 30 of your sins are erased, and your rank increases thirtyfold.
Just think how many letters are in each line, on each page... With all these, the good deeds and forgiven sins that Allah the Almighty grants reach into the thousands.
Therefore, reading the Quran means a great gain for a Muslim.
But now some people come and say: "Let's not read the Quran, but other things." What is their reasoning?
"The Quran is in Arabic, we don't understand anything about it."
Some even write many books and say: "Don't read the Quran."
"Read what I have written."
"My book explains and interprets the Quran; that is what's important."
"What you understand is important," they say.
No, that's not the case at all.
The really important thing is to read the Quran, the blessed, holy word of Allah the Almighty, as it is.
It doesn't matter whether you understand it or not.
The important thing is to read it, to pronounce these words with your mouth.
If you want, read these commentaries and works from morning till night - you won't even attain the reward of a single letter of the Quran.
That's how it is.
Therefore, people are often misled.
"I will read commentaries, read this, read that," they say.
Read them.
Nobody objects to that. But read the Quran first!
Of course, it can also be written in Latin letters, but the essential thing is that the pronunciation corresponds to the Arabic original. If this is guaranteed, it is not so important in which letters it is written.
Furthermore, it certainly has benefits to read the meaning of "Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Alamin" - "Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds." But as I said: Even if you read the translation all day, you will never achieve the reward for reading a single letter of the Quran.
Satan does everything he can to keep people away from these great rewards through deception.
Those who fall into this trap, or directly follow Satan, whisper to other people: "Why are you reading something you don't understand?"
Nobody can fully understand anyway.
Allah the Almighty explains to whom He wills, as much as He wills.
If He wills, He also gives someone who knows nothing the ability to understand.
If He does not will, even the one who thinks he knows everything understands nothing - if Allah does not will it.
This point is very important.
Now people often say: "Why do we read in Arabic? Let's perform the prayer in Turkish as well."
"Let's do it in English, in French, in a language we understand."
No, this matter doesn't work the way you imagine.
Anyway, most of those who say such things are people who have nothing to do with prayer, religion, and faith.
Many utter such words only to corrupt religion and faith.
There is also a group that says "We are also Muslims", but wants nothing to do with the Tariqa.
Satan has deceived them too; he has led them to think according to their own ideas.
"Don't read the Quran, read other things, that's more important," they say.
Now people must wake up.
They must realize that they have strayed from the path.
If someone reads something other than the Quran and says "This can replace it," then his faith is in danger, may Allah protect us.
May Allah make us people of the Quran.
Because the greatest benefit lies in the Quran.
There is also a group that claims the exact opposite: "The Quran is enough for us," and they are caught in another of Satan's traps.
They are either ignorant, knowing nothing, or they have directly become companions of Satan.
For the noble Quran was transmitted to us through the mouth of our Prophet.
The honorable Hadiths and the life of our Prophet himself are the explanation of the Quran.
Whoever says we understand the Quran without the Sunnah, does not actually accept our Prophet.
May Allah protect us.
In the end times, there are many trials.
Therefore, one must be vigilant.
To be vigilant and to distinguish right from wrong, one must follow a Murshid.
Therefore, the Tariqa is necessary so that Muslims can stay on the straight path that leads to our Prophet.
May Allah not lead us astray from the right path.
2025-07-16 - Dergah, Akbaba, İstanbul
And return [repent] to your Lord and submit to Him. (39:54)
Allah, the Exalted and Mighty, commands: "Return to Allah."
Surrender to Him.
If you have made a mistake, turn away from that mistake, commands Allah, the Exalted and Mighty.
Allah's path is clear, distinct, and unambiguous.
Follow this path.
If you have strayed from other paths, been deceived, return to Allah.
Allah accepts repentance and forgives.
If you have taken a bad path, do not persist on that path.
For persistence and defiance are a sign of disbelief.
Defiance is a characteristic of the disbeliever.
A Muslim, on the other hand, accepts the truth and stands on the side of truth.
It is of no use to the disbeliever, whatever you show or tell him.
No matter how much you tell him "this is right, this is wrong," he still accepts his own false conviction.
Therefore, there are so many deceived people.
There are those who follow certain people, consider them "Muslims," and thereby stray from the path.
They too should return to the right path.
The true path is the path shown by our Prophet (peace be upon him).
This path leads people to salvation both in this world and in the Hereafter.
This is also the most important thing.
Unfortunately, the environment is full of various deceived people.
We come back to the Mahdi (peace be upon him).
There are many people who claim "I am the Mahdi."
We see such people every day.
Most of them are either mentally disturbed or insane.
There are many people who make claims like "I am the Mahdi, I am Jesus."
Of course, not everyone accepts these.
But some gather large communities around them and have it proclaimed "The Mahdi has appeared."
They claim that the Mahdi appeared a hundred, fifty years ago.
If the Mahdi (peace be upon him) had appeared then, the other major signs of the End Times would have had to come one after another.
This is how people are deceived.
There are major signs that will happen directly, not through hints.
The Mahdi (peace be upon him) is one of the major signs of the End Times, but there are other signs that will come after him.
Dābbat al-Ard will appear, the sun will rise in the west, Gog and Magog will emerge.
These are the major signs of the End Times.
This world will not last forever, it too has an end.
Therefore, it is a deviation from the path to follow those who deceive the people by saying "I am the Mahdi."
Return to the path!
The Mahdi (peace be upon him) has not yet appeared.
When he appears, everyone will know - not three or five people, not a thousand or ten thousand, but millions will all know, the whole world will know.
The Mahdi (peace be upon him) will appear, and the Dajjal will also appear.
There are also groups waiting for the Dajjal and will follow him.
Even they are smarter than these deceived people.
Allah, the Exalted and Mighty, calls to those who are in error: "Anibu, turn back, turn back!"
Return to Allah!
This matter is not about individuals.
The path is clear, everything is clear.
You who are in error, do not persist in your error.
Persistence and defiance are a sign of disbelief; do not approach this, do not do this.
May Allah grant understanding and insight and lead back to the right path.
These are our words, Insha'Allah.
